Historia

no te hacen llorar.
Me han dicho que en ese lugar
te la pasas recostada en la arena,
poniendo avisos, mujer
No sé por qué esa necesidad
de viajar tan lejos de la realidad,
poniéndote una caretas en el corazón
pretendes olvidar.
El pasacalle en Campichuelo
aquellas noches que bajo un pañuelo
me decías "Mi amor,
yo nunca te voy a cambiar".
Prefiero naufragar en este mar
de corcheas locas de atar
hasta tus besos olvidar.
Prefiero perder el tiempo
tomando unas copas de bar en bar
y nunca nunca despertar.
Tendría que haberle hecho caso a Joaquín
cuando dijo lo que dijo esa vez
cuando esa mujer
se iba dándole la espalda.
Tendría que haberle hecho caso,
y así saber bien
cómo era en realidad
tu frente, tu lengua y tu falda.

The song "Me han dicho" by Las Pastillas Del Abuelo tells the story of someone who has heard about a place where the sun doesn't burn you at midday and where the full moon at night doesn't make you cry. In this place, the singer has been told that they can spend their time lying on the sand without a care in the world. They also mention that anyone who makes a woman sweat will be condemned in this place. The lyrics imply that this place is some sort of paradise, and the singer seems to want to escape to it.
However, the chorus of the song presents an interesting contrast to the idyllic paradise that is being described. The singer says that they would rather be lost in a sea of crazy musical notes than forget the kisses of the person they love. They also mention that they would rather waste their time drinking in bars than wake up from this dream-like state. The vocalist's reluctance to let go of their lover's memory seems to suggest they don't truly want to be in the paradise that has been described. Instead, they seem to be clinging onto the only true thing they have left: their love for this person.
As the song progresses, the vocalist regrets not listening to Joaquín, who warned them about a woman who was going to leave them. The singer admits that they should have listened to Joaquín and investigated who this woman truly was beyond her physical appearance. The song ends on a note of uncertainty, with the singer unsure if they'll be able to move on from their past mistakes and their love for the person who left them.
