Laska Omnia Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
It's a misprint it's a mistake.
Time after time
I will call you not to forget your name.
Night after night you will get lost and found again.
Life after life, so existent.
Yet hard to tame, hard to tame, hard to tame
Could you wait for a little light?
Could you overdose the night?
Could you see ever come out clean?
Could you wait to be as one
Could you ever, ever, ever suffocate inside?
The lyrics to Laska Omnia's song Phoenix paint a picture of a person who is struggling to find their way in life despite seeming to have everything together. The opening lines, "Line after line, it's a misprint it's a mistake. Time after time, I will call you not to forget your name," suggest that the person may be feeling overwhelmed or lost in the face of life's challenges, but is determined to keep going. The repetition of "night after night, life after life" underscores the idea that this struggle is ongoing and perhaps cyclical.
The following lines ask a series of questions: "Could you see me inside out? Could you wait for a little light? Could you overdose the night?" These questions seem directed towards someone else who is perhaps a source of support or guidance for the singer. They may be asking for help in finding their way or seeking reassurance that they are on the right path. The final lines, "Could you see ever come out clean? Could you wait to be as one, could you ever, ever, ever suffocate inside?" suggest a fear of failure, of not being able to live up to expectations or find success. The repeated use of the word "ever" emphasizes the magnitude of this fear.
Overall, the lyrics to Phoenix convey a sense of struggle and confusion in the face of life's challenges. Yet, there is also a sense of determination and resilience as the singer continues to push forward despite these difficulties. The questions posed in the lyrics suggest a desire for guidance and support from others, but also a fear of not living up to expectations.
