No other female singer in the world will come closer to lataji's perfection. We are lucky to see maa sarswati avatar in this era.

OMG look at the speed, clarity and precision of the 2 and a half taan. Above all, there was no Dolby Digital or super-tech recording in that era and every song was single take. Pranaam to Saakshaat Saraswati Maa Lataji....

@Coucoutchicou

..."every song was single take"...Stop exaggerating, for heaven's sake ! Even in the early 1940s before the arrival of tape recorders many records had to be destroyed because the take was not perfect - despite nuerous rehearsals. And by the 1950s with the arrival of tape recorders, discs were made, only when the song was considered perfect.

@thehumanflute

I think by single take he meant that the whole song was recorded in one go, one take; not in parts and then mixed together, which is done nowadays :)

@bharatraval347

@@thehumanflute Right, he intended to say that without recording in part, entire song was recorded in one sitting.

@musicalHrishi

Yes this song was entirely recorded in one setting
