Menores que não têm onde dormir
Pobreza, muita fome, solidão,
Amargura que corrói meu coração
Crianças espalhadas pelas ruas
Abandonadas, pobres criaturas
Que não pediram à Deus para nascer
Deus mirim
Olhai pelas crianças desse meu país
Dê casa e comida, um pouco de atenção
Vamos ouvir a voz do coração
The song Deus Mirim by Latino is an emotional appeal to God to look after the marginalized and abandoned children living in poverty in Brazil. The lyrics describe the heartbreaking reality of these children who have nowhere to sleep and suffer from hunger, loneliness, and bitterness. The singer's heart is torn apart, witnessing the misery of these innocent little souls.
The verses paint a picture of children scattered on the streets, deprived and abandoned by society. These children are God's creations, and they deserve to have a decent life with a roof over their heads and food in their bellies. Latino wants God to listen to their voice and help them out of their misery. He urges people to pay attention and care for these children and not turn a blind eye to their suffering.
Through this song, Latino raises a crucial issue of child poverty and the need for society to come together for the well-being of the less fortunate children. The song emphasizes the importance of providing love, attention, and basic necessities like food and shelter to help children live a dignified life.
