Or down in London Town to go, go
With the record selection
And my mirror reflection
Im dancing with myself
When there's no-one else in sight
In the crowded lonely night
For my love vibration
And I'm dancing with myself
Chorus:
Oh, oh dancing with myself
Oh, oh dancing with myself
Well there's nothing to lose
And there's nothing to prove
I'll be dancing with myself
If I looked all over the world
I'd be like every type of girl
But you empty eyes
Seem to pass me by
Leave me dancing with myself
So let's sink another drink
'Cause it'll give me time to think
If I had the chance
I'd ask the world to dance
And not be dancing with myself
Chorus
If I looked all over the world
I'd be like every type of girl
But you empty eyes
Seem to pass me by
Leave me dancing with myself
So lets sink another drink
'Cause itll give me time to think
If I had the chance
I'd ask the world to dance
And not be dancing with myself
Oh, oh dancing with myself
Oh, oh dancing with myself
If I had the chance
I'd ask the world to dance
And Ill be dancing with myself (repeat)
Dancing with myself (repeat)
The song "Dancing With Myself" by Laura Bell is a catchy tune about finding solace in oneself and not relying on others for happiness. The lyrics describe the singer dancing alone in different cities such as Tokyo and London, while reflecting on the loneliness of crowded nightlife. The singer longs for love but finds that her "empty eyes" are often overlooked, leaving her to dance alone. The second verse repeats the sentiment, but the chorus brings a sense of empowerment, proclaiming that there's nothing to lose or prove by dancing alone. The bridge suggests an escape in alcohol as the singer observes and wishes the world would dance with her.
The song's meaning can be interpreted differently by different individuals. Some may see it as a fun anthem for parties, while others may relate to the loneliness and seek comfort in the self. The song's upbeat tempo and relatable lyrics make it a popular choice for karaoke and dance playlists.

On the floors of Tokyo
I am dancing alone in Tokyo
Or down in London Town to go, go
I am dancing alone in London
With the record selection
I choose the music I want to dance to
And my mirror reflection
I am dancing alone with my own reflection
Im dancing with myself
I am enjoying my own company while dancing alone
When there's no-one else in sight
I am alone and there is no one around me
In the crowded lonely night
Even when there are people around, I feel lonely
Well I wait so long
I have been waiting for someone to dance with me for a long time
For my love vibration
I am waiting for someone to love me and dance with me
And I'm dancing with myself
In the meantime, I am dancing alone
Chorus:
Repeating the following lines
Oh, oh dancing with myself
Enjoying my own company while dancing alone
Well there's nothing to lose
I have nothing to lose by dancing alone
And there's nothing to prove
I don't need to prove anything by dancing alone
I'll be dancing with myself
I am going to keep on dancing alone
If I looked all over the world
If I search everywhere in the world
I'd be like every type of girl
I would be like every other girl and still won't find anyone to dance with
But you empty eyes
The people around me who are not interested in dancing with me
Seem to pass me by
Ignore me and walk away
Leave me dancing with myself
So, I am left alone to dance by myself
So let's sink another drink
I am going to drink more
'Cause it'll give me time to think
Drinking gives me time to think and ponder
If I had the chance
If I get the opportunity
I'd ask the world to dance
I would ask everyone to dance with me, to feel less lonely
And not be dancing with myself
So, I could dance with someone instead of dancing alone
Oh, oh dancing with myself
Enjoying my own company while dancing alone
If I had the chance
If I get the opportunity
I'd ask the world to dance
I would ask everyone to dance with me, to feel less lonely
And I’ll be dancing with myself
Until then, I am dancing alone
Dancing with myself
Enjoying my own company while dancing alone
