I think that's unfortunately down to the appearance of the artist, more than their work. While Ryan is an absolutely amazing artist, same as Laura of course, Ryan's physical appearance is more interesting, her grey hair and specific face and overall aesthetic are a big part of the hype for her. This doesn't lessen the value of either artist's work, it's just that the way media works, the person with a more interesting look and personal style usually gets more attention, especially in the social media realm. I am not very familiar with Laura's personal style, i only know her from the show (probably because of the lack of publicity and hype).
