Makeup Is Expensive
Lauren Weintraub Lyrics
It's, "Hey, what's up?
"You up?" "You awake?" Tryna take all the love out of love
But, hey, I ain't
Down to play all your games anymore, go away
What happened to over?
What happened to closure?
What happened to locking a door walking out on before?
You broke a promise
And to be honest, yeah, to be honest
Makeup is expensive, sick of wasting it on exes
Tryna climb into my bed when they feel lonely
How come every time I get to vibin' with a guy
I find he doesn't really want to get to know me?
I don't think I'm painting
High expectations
Just want good conversation over mornings making bacon
With a guy with good intentions, yeah, makeup is expensive
I don't take free drinks from guys
'Cause they think that it means that I owe them my night
So I'll pay for this round
If you're down, let's talk 'bout something more than my sign
'Cause I'm into substance, yeah, I wanna trust this
But I don't really trust this yet
Makeup is expensive, sick of wasting it on exes
Tryna climb into my bed when they feel lonely
How come every time I get to vibin' with a guy
I find he doesn't really want to get to know me?
I don't think I'm painting
High expectations
Just want good conversation over mornings making bacon
With a guy with good intentions, yeah, makeup is expensive
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna be
A same side of the booth kinda couple
Like we're in our own little bubble, yeah
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna be
Sappy shit that you see in the movies
A feeling so good that it's scary, yeah
Makeup is expensive, sick of wasting it on exes
Tryna climb into my bed when they feel lonely
How come every time I get to vibin' with a guy
I find he doesn't really want to get to know me
I don't think I'm painting
High expectations
Just want good conversation over mornings making bacon

It's freakin' expensive
Yeah, makeup is expensive
