4 O'Clock in the Morning
Lazard Lyrics

And I pour the wine
It's 4 o'clock in the morning
And it's starting to get light
Well I'm right where I wanna be
Losing track of time
But I wish that it was still
Last night
The lyrics to Lazard's song "4 O'Clock in the Morning" take the listener on a journey of longing for last night while simultaneously enjoying the present moment. The first two lines set the tone for the song as the singer lights up a cigarette while their partner pours wine. The lyrics suggest a sense of intimacy and comfort between the couple. The mention of 4 o'clock in the morning suggests that the couple has been up all night and that it's beginning to become light outside.
The singer declares that they are "right where I wanna be" and that they are "losing track of time," indicating that they are happy in the moment with their partner. However, the singer also wishes that "it was still Last night," implying that they are reminiscing about a previous night spent with their partner. The lyrics suggest a longing for the past, while also enjoying the present moment with their partner.
The song's lyrics create a sense of emotional depth and complexity. The singer's emotions are conflicted, torn between wanting to hold onto the past and being present in the present.

You light up another cigarette
You ignite another cigarette
And I pour the wine
And I serve the wine
It's 4 o'clock in the morning
It is four in the morning
And it's starting to get light
And daylight is slowly emerging
Well I'm right where I wanna be
I am in the perfect place I want to be
Losing track of time
I am unaware of time passing by
But I wish that it was still
But part of me wants it to still be
Last night
Last night's memories are still lingering in my mind
