1. Lazy Bones is an unsigned Alternative Rock band from London, UK.
With roots in a humble attic in central London, Lazy Bones' sound progressed quickly from schoolboy alt rock into a harshly introspective mesh of post-rock, ambient and shoegaze, accompanied lyrics that mirror the harsh realities of urban life. After a promising first 'Bedroom' EP (whose length implied more of a mini album) they quickly moved on to produce another shorter EP, and releases - anticipating a full length album - that pushed the standards ever higher. A somewhat premature move to university temporarily offset the aspiring young band, but critics expect some good releases this summer, in which Lazy Bones plan on continuing to perfect their debut album, and further develop their repertoire.

Take all the paths
Laid out for you they're there
An existential crisis blowing
Everything into your garden
We can leave it all behind
Just you and I for nowI won't be the one to save you
I could be the one to take you home
Breathe in dear
Take all the paths
Laid out for you they're there
An existential crisis blowing
Everything into your garden
We can leave it all behind
Just you and I for now
I won't be the one to save you
I could be the one to take you home
In "Existential Crisis," Lazy Bones is speaking to someone caught in a crisis, possibly questioning the meaning of their existence. The lyrics are advising the listener to take a deep breath, and take all the paths that are available or laid out for them. It is almost as if they must embrace the uncertainty and ambiguity of life in that moment. And although everything feels uprooted, one must continue to move forward, completely accepting of the changes, feeling as if everything has blown into their garden. The lyrics go on to mention that they could leave it all behind, just the two of them for now, without any pressure or expectations. The singer admits that they cannot save the other person but could take them home, showing that they could offer comfort and support.
Throughout the song, the lyrics seem to capture the essence of experiencing an existential crisis. The idea that everything one has known or believed to be true is unraveling is fascinating. The lyric of an "existential crisis blowing everything into your garden" perfectly captures how one can flip from feeling like they have control over their lives to feeling like they are spinning out of control. Lazy Bones makes it clear that accepting change and uncertainty is essential and valid, even though it can be challenging. In summary, the song encourages listeners to find their way and seek their truth, even if one must take a step back and start over.
