Cattle Call
LeAnn Rimes Lyrics

The cattle are prowlin'
The coyotes are howlin'
Way out where the doggies roam.
Where spurs are a jinglin'
And the cowboy is singin'
His lonesome cattle call.

He rides in the sun,
'Til his days work is done.
And rounds up the cattle each fall.
Singin' his cattle call.

For hours he would ride.
On the range far and wide.
When the night wind blows up and slow.
His heart is a feather.
In all kinds of weather.
He sings his cattle call.

Such lovely music & I miss it. There was Country Western, but Country ate the Western, and now what they call Country isn't country at all but southern rock & roll. Are there any Western radio stations left?

I love her voice. I first heard Cattle Cattle Call in the mid-70's on an Eddy Arnold album of my mother's. Loved it, and thought it was an amazing piece of music. Still love it. Thank you.
