On this day in 1987 {December 13th} "My Forever Love"* by Levert peaked at #2 {for 4 weeks} on Billboard's Hot Soul Singles chart, for the first week it was at #2, the #1 record for that week was "I Want To Be Your Man" by Roger, and for its 2nd, 3rd, and 4th weeks at #2, "The Way You Make Me Feel" by Michael Jackson was in the top spot...
Between 1985 and 1997 the Cleveland, Ohio group had twenty-one records on the Hot Soul Singles chart, twelve made the Top 10 with five reaching #1, "(Pop, Pop, Pop, Pop) Goes My Mind" in 1986, "Casanova" in 1987, "Addicted To You" in 1988, "Just Coolin'" {a duet with Heavy D} in 1989, and "Baby I'm Ready" in 1991...
Sadly, original members, Gerald Edward Levert passed away at the young age of 40 on November 10th, 2006 and Sean Edward Levert passed on March 30th, 2008 at 39...
