Since 2009, the band has been releasing all of its output on bandcamp. Their first two EPs, with their catchy and intimate sound, propelled them to the top of Quebec’s independent radio charts. In 2010 they released their debut album, Origami which attracted the attention of local critics and press before getting international attention in 2011. Origami found its way into the hearts and blogs of Germany, Italy, Mexico, France, and the UK. Together with its 2011 remix album, Origami has been a joyful delight to the ears of American, Chinese and European artists alike and now they are picking up where they left off with the EP, Voyage Love.
Following the meeting with remixer French Fox, Le Couleur decided to hire him to produce their next EP. They also called upon the members of French Horn Rebellion to participate in its creation which resulted in a sound that follows in Origami’s footsteps while still breaking new ground.

In Le couleur's song "Jukebox," the lyrics tell the story of being trapped onboard the SS Huysmans, held captive by the ice while time seems to stand still. The ship is like a tomb made of stainless steel, and the only solace is the few coins left to play music on the jukebox. The singer pleads for the jukebox to replay the same song over and over again, drowning out the alarming reality of their situation. The repetition of the chorus, "Rejoue moi ce morceau, Saoule moi dans le bruit," which translates to "Play me that song again, Get me drunk with the noise," emphasizes the character's desperation for escapism.
The lyrics also mention the melancholic emotion of the singer as they think of their last dollars being spent on the jukebox, as if to suggest there may be no escape from their current situation. Despite the uneasy situation that the lyrics portray, there is a sense of resignation to the character's fate, as they reassure themselves to not worry too much.
