My physical appearance appears to be attractive and confident to others.

However, I am feeling sad and unconfident on the inside despite how cool or confident I appear to be on the outside.

Every time I think I'm through
Although I try to overcome my insecurities, I always feel like I am stuck in them.

It's because of you
My insecurities arise from my perception of how you view me.

I've tried different ways
I've attempted to overcome my insecurities in various ways.

But it's all the same
However, nothing seems to work and I still feel unpretty.

Ultimately, I am the one responsible for my own insecurities and self-doubt.

I have myself to blame
I need to take ownership of my insecurities and work on overcoming them myself.

You can buy your hair if it won't grow
You can change your physical appearance through cosmetic enhancements, but that won't change how you feel on the inside.

You can fix your nose if he says so
You can attempt to make someone else happy by altering your appearance to their liking, but it won't fix your own insecurities.

You can buy all the make-up that MAC can make
Cosmetics can enhance your appearance but they can't change your self-perception.

But if you can't look inside you
If you are unable to truly examine yourself on a personal level,

Find out who am I too
and determine your worth beyond your external appearance,

Be in a position to make me feel so damn unpretty
you won't be able to contribute positively toward someone else's self-image or confidence.

Never insecure until I met you
Prior to meeting you, I was confident in my appearance and didn't really have self-doubt.

Now I'm being stupid
However, my newfound insecurity in my appearance is causing me to act irrationally and foolishly.

I used to be so cute to me
I used to find myself physically attractive before your negative impact on my self-image.

Just a little bit skinny
I used to be a bit more thin and felt confident in my appearance based on my looks back then.

Why do I look to all these things
I am asking myself why I seek validation in my appearance based on materialistic things like clothes or cosmetics.

To keep you happy
I am attempting to maintain your approval and happiness by altering my appearances through these material items.

Maybe get rid of you
Perhaps the solution to my insecurities and self-doubt is to remove you from my life entirely.

And then I'll get back to me (hey)
By removing you from my life, I can regain my own self-confidence and resolve my insecurities.

But if you can't look inside you
If you are unable to examine your own inner self,

Find out who am I too
and discover your own personal worth beyond looks,

Be in a position to make me feel so damn unpretty
you'll lack the ability to improve your own self-image or the image of others.

But unpretty
Despite my attempts to feel pretty, my lack of self-confidence and insecurity make me feel unpretty in the end.
