After dropping out of college, Leah began pursuing a record deal as a solo artist while working at a restaurant, all the while honing her act in the clubs of Sand Diego and Los Angeles. She was able to pass along a demo to some RCA record execs who dined at her restaurant, signing Andreone exactly 24 hours later, after witnessing a live performance.
Her first release, 1996's alterna-pop Veiled was a major hit in France (along with it's single, "It's Alright, It's OK"), which led to an appearance with the inaugural Lilith Fair Tour.
Hooking up with heavy rock producer Bob Marlette for her next album, 1998's Alchemy, naturally led to a heavier and more varied sound, including cameos by Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and Marilyn Manson/Two/David Lee Roth guitarist John Lowery.
In 2006, Leah released her first Indie EP of demos called "Unlabeled-The Demos" which includes 7 songs. The songs on the EP will be on her record but no longer in demo form. These demos are Leah's way of "thinking out loud" before she commits to production. They are a brief peak into the creative process and what really happens before the produced version of a record comes out.
bow down
Leah Andreone Lyrics

Now the picture is clear
I can finally hear
Girls they grow like weeds
We're replaceable beings
Just tell her what you told me
Overindulge, hit the spot
Take too much, take some more
Give me more don't get bored
Bow down to the mass
Fill in the gap
Fill the hole in your head
Bow down to the mass
Fill in the gap
Fill the hole in your head
How insane would I be
If you fed on me
And I found sanctity
Bless this body received
If I say the right things
Will you pretend to love me
The opening line of "Bow Down" by Leah Andreone, "Van Gogh lent me his ear, now the picture is clear," is a clever play on the artist's infamous act of self-mutilation, a metaphor for being willing to go to extreme lengths for someone you care about. The singer seems to be saying that she's willing to endure a great deal of pain and sacrifice in order to understand and please her lover. She then goes on to reflect on the fleeting nature of beauty, likening girls to "weeds," which are easily replaced. The song touches on themes of addiction and self-destructive behavior, with lines like "Overindulge, hit the spot, take too much, take some more, let habits form, praise the Lord, give me more, don't get bored."

Literally I don’t know how she didn’t make it big. This song is amazing and I love the video.

Live From Normal Heights
she had so many great songs on her first two albums. the third one was okay. but I wish she made many more albums. I think she was just too controversial for mainstream
