Comeback
Leather Heart Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Now you're gone
Your soul is vanishing in the air
I can't stand seeing things going wrong
Lost in time
We don't know what we're looking for
A new hope is coming with a rebirth

All those good times
They enjoyed in the past
Are getting closer
And we know they should be back

Because emptiness is the future
that waits for us
If we let your soul he replaced
I leave behind all the troubles
I face today
To claim your spirit...
Together we'll make a change

So here I am
Screaming in the name of the past
You're even closer
And now I know you'll be back

Sounds of the past in my head
Reflecting the future
We're building now
The world's not the same
And I'm fighting against
I want you to comeback

Breathing new life you'll be back
Right from the past sound
Straight from the voice we claim
Rising again through your heart

I want you, I need you to comeback

Overall Meaning

Leather Heart's song Comeback is a tribute to a loved one who has passed away. The first stanza sets the scene, as the singer mourns the loss of someone close. Their soul is "vanishing in the air," leaving a void in the singer's life. The second stanza seems to reflect on the good times shared with the loved one, and the longing for a return to happier days. The singer sees the world as heading towards emptiness, but they hold out hope for rebirth, a new beginning that might be sparked by the return of the person they miss. The final stanza is a plea for the lost loved one to come back, to defy death and rise again. The singer is fighting against the notion that things can't change, that the past is lost forever.

Overall, this is a powerful song about grief, loss and hope. The themes are universal and relatable. The lyrics are emotive, painting a vivid picture of the longing and pain that comes with losing someone close. The song is musically well-crafted, with a catchy melody and a driving rhythm that underscores the urgency of the singer's plea.

Hey, Adrian, Leather Heart is my fav band of all my current playlist!!!! What a great deluxe revival of the 80s heavy metal spirit... Total cult album, with an overdose of glam and elegant but at the same time fiery riffs and amazing solos... Leather Heart pay an honest tribute to Dokken, Ratt, WASP, Motley Crue, Kingdom Come, Grim Reaper, Raven or Saxon... or legends like Loudness and 220 Volts!!!!...by the way, that version of Danger Zone really kick ass! If you were appeared in the mid 80s, you would be heavy gods nowadays for sure! Awesome act, man! Heavy thanks from Chile!
