Good Times Bad Times
Led Zeppelin Lyrics

In the days of my youth
I was told what it means to be a man
Now I've reached that age
I've tried to do all those things the best I can
No matter how I try
I find my way to the same old jam

Good times, bad times
You know I've had my share
When my woman left home
For a brown-eyed man
Well, I still don't seem to care

Sixteen I fell in love
With a girl as sweet as could be
It only took a couple of days
'Til she was rid of me
She swore that she would be all mine
And love me 'til the end
But when I whispered in her ear
I lost another friend

Good times, bad times
You know I've had my share
When my woman left home
For a brown eyed man
Well, I still don't seem to care

Good times, bad times
You know I've had my share
When my woman left home
For a brown eyed man
But, I still don't seem to care

I know what it means to be alone
I sure do wish I was at home
I don't care what the neighbors say
I'm gonna love you each and every day
You can feel the beat within my heart
Realize, sweet babe, we ain't ever gonna part

@Lampyridae Just what I needed is in E MAJOR/C#min..
The same chords as Dont stop beliving :-P
Bye Bye love is in A MAJOR/F#min....even thou it starts with the
same E Major chord..lol
You can mimic the key board part..it's just
B min at the second fret...then slide up to play the A major at the 5th fret.

This song is in D MAJOR/B min...you could play E dorian to E lydian dominant ( E Major)
That cool little riff is just D Maj TRIAD
The guitar solo is in B min Pentatonic

Imagine it's January 1969, a friend says, "Hey, check out this new album." And you put that turntable needle to this first song. Wow.

I thought the same thing a hundred times. Imagine riding down the road and here in chuck-berry-johnny-b-goode for the first time.

This was my exact thought as I searched this song.

In 69, Sunshine of Your Love dominated along with anything Beatles.

The carnies had it playing full tilt boogie on the Merry Mixer in 70. The really cranked up Whole Lotta Love.

This song blew people's minds... and it was just the 1st song on the 1st album!

@Ryan Bee Me too! My father bought the album for 2 bucks when it was released and he and my older brother did not think much of it, so it floundered in some box. I unearthed it when I was about 11 or 12 and it blew my mind. Loved it ever since, and that was decades ago.
