After starting her career in area rock music, she created a rock group named after her in Brampton, Ontario. Aaron was with that band when she released her first long play in 1982. John Albani, a guitar player in her band, helped her write the vast majority of the songs. "Buzz" Shearman , Bill Wade, Terry Juric, and Earl Johnson all former members of the Canadian rock band Moxy would all appear on her debut album called The Lee Aaron Project released in 1982. She then began touring in Europe - in England and Germany - by late 1983 she was ready for the studio and her second album called Metal Queen was released in 1984 and would make her one of canada's best know solo musicians.
By 1990, she was one of the more well known Canadian singers in the world with the help of her Bodyrock album which sold more than 200 000 copies.
In 1996, Aaron joined with three former members of the band Sons of Freedom in the one-off band 2preciious.

You let other women make a fool of you
Why don't you do right...
Like some other men do
Get outta here and

You ain't got no money they gonna, toss you out
Why don't you do right..
Like some other men do..
Honey get outta here and
Get me some money too
If you had prepared twenty, years ago
You wouldn't be wand'rin' now from, door to do'
Why don't you do right..
Like some other men do..
Baby get outta here and
Get me some money too
Woo woo woo
I fell for your jivin' an' I, took you in
Now all ya got ta offer me's a, drink o' gin
Why don't you do right..
Like some other men do..
Oh get outta here and
Get me some money too

Like some other men do...
Why don't you do right...
Like some other men do...
Ya gotta do right do right do right...

You've gotta do...... right...
Like some other men do..
Ya gotta, get outta here and
Get me some money.....

The lyrics of Lee Aaron's "Why Don't You Do Right" are a message to a man who has been squandering his wealth and resources on other women, leaving the singer with nothing. She urges him to start acting like "other men" who provide for their women and take responsibility for their actions. The refrain "get outta here and get me some money too" emphasizes the singer's demand for financial support.
The verses also express the consequences of the man's irresponsible behavior. He is now without money and facing eviction. The line "if you had prepared twenty years ago, you wouldn't be wandering now from door to door" emphasizes the importance of planning and making responsible decisions. The final verse reveals that the singer had fallen for the man's charm in the past but has grown tired of his empty promises and wants him to start taking action.
