A revelation to know Dad composed this tune..

MaFelamerkins

His dad is pianist Cedar Walton, who composed the tune and is playing on the record.

Afreaka is still good, after all these years.

Dick Duquesne

one of the most groundbreaking pieces of music ever played, roughly has 2K views in 6 years. real music is going forgotten

Dylan Gatenby

It's a good chart.

As much as I want to agree with you, I simply can't. This piece was not even close to ground breaking on any list. It was released well after the development of its genre, Afro-Cuban Jazz, thus making it just another song on the cue. For one thing, just because there is a low view count on this video, doesn't mean that people have forgotten it. I encourage you to look at the 100+ other uploads of this song. I also encourage you to look at how many people have downloaded this song on iTunes and listened to it on Spotify. What you consider 'real music' is real music to everybody. What you consider 'fake music' alot of people put time, effort, and money into to create in an effort to evolve the human musical experience as a whole. Rather than criticizing the new sound, why not embrace it, try to enjoy it, and at least respect it. Instead of shrinking your music horizons to what you think is 'real', expand your tastes and try to find the purpose of things that you might not fully understand and try to understand them.

My favourite jazz tune.
