Another Blessing
Lee Williams Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
For the minute blessing Heโฒs given me
When I look back all of my life
And I see where He brought me from
I can truly say
That I've been blessed
Let me say this
I looked around, hereโฒs what I said
Thank you Lord for the blood You shed
You put a roof up over my head
Thank you Lord for another day
All these blessings you send my way
I say: I could've been dead, in some lonesome grave
But you told death, you told it to get back and behave, ooh
Ooh wee (Ooh wee)
Oh my (Another blessing)
Ooh wee (Ooh wee)
Another blessing (Another blessing)
Ooh wee (Ooh wee)
Another blessing (Another blessing)
Oh oh (Ooh wee)
Another blessing (Another blessing)
Lee Williams sayin':
Iโฒve never seen the righteous forsaken
Nor his seed begging for bread
I can count on God he wonโฒt let me down
He always do just what He said
Pain and sufferin', He brought me through
Arms wide open, He always welcome you
Iโฒve been blessed in so many ways
I just wanna lift my hands and give God all the praise
Ooh wee (Ooh wee)

The song reminds us to recognize the blessings and to take a moment and appreciate them. He expresses his gratitude for the simple things in life like waking up in the morning and being able to talk, walk, breathe, and see. He acknowledges God's protective hand over him and his family and how God always fulfills his promises to those who trust in him.
