De ter esperança
De um dia ser tudo o que quer
Meu coração de criança
Não é só a lembrança
De um vulto feliz de mulher
Que passou por meus sonhos
Sem dizer adeus
Um chorar mais sem fim
Meu coração vagabundo
Quer guardar o mundo
Em mim
Meu coração vagabundo
Quer guardar o mundo
Em mim
In Leila Pinheiro's song Coração Vagabundo, the singer expresses her heart's yearning for hope and fulfillment. The song tells of a heart that refuses to give up hope in its quest to become everything it desires. This heart belongs to a child, whose innocence is not only a memory of a fleeting happy moment with a woman, who passed through her dreams without saying goodbye, but also a fountain of hope that refuses to dry up.
The lyrics portray the pain that comes with unrequited love, which is depicted in the lines "E fez dos olhos meus / Um chorar mais sem fim" (she made my eyes / cry even more endlessly). Despite this pain, the heart refuses to give up on love, on hoping and dreaming; it wants to keep the world in it. This vagabond heart represents a desire for exploration and discovery, to hold the world's beauty and to feel the wonder of all life has to offer.
Overall, the song conveys a message of endless possibility and chance, emphasizing the importance of hope. It is a beautiful tribute to the ever optimistic side of the human spirit, that despite the heart's pain, it constantly hopes and dreams.
