Freedom Train
Lenny Kravitz Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Come on dance on the freedom train
Lenny Kravitz's song Freedom Train is a call to action to embrace freedom and all that comes with it. The opening verses set the scene of the train coming, indicating it's time to dance and embrace the freedom train. The lyrics are a celebration of the freedom that has been hard won and what it means for society. The chorus repeats that message with energy and conviction, creating an atmosphere of joy and hope.
The song has a broader metaphorical meaning that can be interpreted for those things we are looking forward to or seeking. The freedom train tells the story of the journey of life, where each one of us can seize the moment by following our dreams, getting on board and celebrating every moment. As we go all-in with the journey, there is no time to lose, yet many beautiful things to see and experience that our freedom can provide. While transitioning to the next stage or new experience of life, Kravitz encourages his listeners to take advantage of the freedom of choice and the opportunities that come with it.
