Tunnel Vision
Lenny Kravitz Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Is all you got
Make me happy baby
And I'll make it hot
I don't need no doctor
To tell me what to do
'Cause I know I'm goin'
I got that tunnel vision goin' through my head
I can't help myself all I see is red
Tunnel vision goin' through my head
Lay me down inside your flying bed
All that's yours
And all that's mine
We'll put together baby
And we can combine
We don't need no lawyer
Let's not make this long
We just need a love thing
That's beautiful and strong
I got that tunnel vision
Goin' through my head
I can't help myself all I see is red
Tunnel vision goin' through my head
Lay me down inside your flying bed
Tunnel vision goin' through my head
I can't help myself all I see is red
Tunnel vision goin' through my head
Lay me down inside your flying bed
Come on here ... yeah !
Tunnel vision goin' through my head
I can't help myself all I see is red
Tunnel vision goin' through my head
Lay me down inside your flying bed
Tunnel vision goin' through my head
I can't help myself all I see is red
Tunnel vision goin' through my head
Lay me down inside your flying bed
Make it funky now ahaha [Repeat: x 4]
I'll gonna make it, make make it,
Make it, make it make make it,
Make it funky now ahaha [Repeat: x 4]
I'll gonna make it, make make it,
Make it, make it make make it,
Make it funky now ahaha [Repeat: x 4]
The lyrics of Lenny Kravitz's Tunnel Vision talk about a deep desire for a lover's attention and affection. The singer explains that all he wants from his partner is all that they have, and in turn, promises to make it hot for them. He doesn't need any external advice or guidance as he is confident that he is heading straight for his partner. He describes the feeling as tunnel vision, where he sees nothing but red, an intense color that symbolizes passion and desire, which has taken over his mind.
Kravitz then sings about the unification of their worlds, where everything that is his and belongs to his lover will be combined to form something beautiful and strong. He states that they don't need a lawyer to make this happen but just a love that is authentic and unbreakable. The lyrics emphasize the importance of love that is free from any external factors such as law or social pressure, and where two people come together to create something profound.
Overall, Tunnel Vision is a declaration of love that is straightforward and honest. The lyrics speak of an all-consuming passion that creates a tunnel vision, where the only thing that matters is the partner. It showcases the beauty and purity of love that is not based on any ulterior motives or benefits, but just the need for companionship and affection.
