Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name
Blessed Be Your name
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name
Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name
Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name
The lyrics of Leon Patillo's song "Blessed Be the Name of the Lord" express a deep sense of gratitude and trust in God, no matter the circumstances. The first two stanzas talk about how God's abundance can be seen in the good times when the land and the streams are plentiful, and even when things are tough, and we're in the desert or wilderness, we can still bless God's name. The chorus declares that God's name is blessed, regardless of the situation, and will continue to be glorified. The song continues to reflect the different seasons of life, from moments of joy and success to times of pain and suffering. But even in the hardest moments, the singer reiterates his resolve to always praise God and bless His name.
At its core, "Blessed Be the Name of the Lord" encourages listeners to have an attitude of gratitude and trust in God, even when things are not going well. This is why the song has been used in many different contexts where people want to express their thankfulness to God or their faith during difficult times. The message also resonates with people from various religious backgrounds, as it emphasizes the importance of recognizing and honoring a higher power, regardless of the circumstances.
