Storm
Leoniden Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
i think i'm in the middle of a storm my eyes filled with fear
the dance goes on till my face suddenly melts the lights are flashin' and it's rainin' bulletshells must be a dream with taste of truth
i hit the ground
those guys are frantic
and blow the finalists outta their way i'm gonna say something,
frantic
blow the finalists outta the way gonna say something
and the words rise...
The lyrics of Leoniden's "Storm" are full of vivid and powerful imagery, describing a chaotic and frightening experience. The singer feels as though they are caught in the middle of a storm, with no clear sense of direction or purpose. The repeated image of "izzy wineheads running in circles" suggests a sense of disorientation and confusion, which is further compounded by the lines "no shape, no face is clear" - the singer cannot make sense of their surroundings, and is filled with fear and uncertainty as a result.
As the song progresses, the imagery becomes more intense and surreal. The singer describes a dance that goes on until their face "suddenly melts", suggesting a loss of identity or control. The lights flashing and "rainin' bulletshells" add to the sense of chaos and danger, while the line "must be a dream with taste of truth" suggests that the singer is grappling with profound, existential questions about the nature of reality and their own place in it.
In the final section of the song, the singer expresses a desire to speak out and assert themselves - to "say something" and make their voice heard. However, the words are difficult to find, and seem to "rise to a higher gain level" - perhaps a reference to the difficulty of speaking truthfully and with conviction in a world where chaos and confusion reign.
Overall, "Storm" is a powerful and evocative song that captures the feeling of being adrift in a world that is intensely disorienting and chaotic. The vivid imagery and intense emotions make it a memorable and impactful track that will stay with listeners long after they hear it.
