Les Acrobates , that is to say Laurent Montagne and Cyril Douay, are a French duo from Montpellier. After being on the road during 7 years, performing more than 300 concerts and in major music festivals of "Chanson française" (Les Francofolies de la Rochelle, Le Printemps de Bourges, Alors Chante à Montauban, Le Chaînon Manquant à Figeac...), the group decided to split on February 2005.

The song "La Loire" by Les Acrobates tells a story of two people who live on opposite sides of the Loire river. The singer of the song lives on one side and the person they are addressing lives on the other. They express their desire to meet and potentially start a relationship, but the other person is hesitant and thinks it's better if they stay separated. However, the singer still hopes to meet them on one of the lost bridges over the river.
As the winter sets in, it becomes even more difficult to cross the river and the singer begins to lose hope of seeing the other person again. However, they are pleasantly surprised when they hear the other person's voice close by, giving them hope of a future meeting. The song then shifts to a description of both people on their respective sides of the river, drifting along or walking along the banks, with the hope that they'll eventually find a way to meet in the middle.
The song ends with the singer declaring their love still exists, even though they are living on opposite sides of the river. They even joke about kissing each other by crossing the river on foot.
