Overall Meaning

lyrics are from the chorus of Les Garagistes's song "Sobedja". The song is in the Guinean language of Malinke and is about jealousy and naysayers who try to bring people down. In the song, the artists name-drop several people including Tantie Agnès and Colonel Yao Michel, as well as referencing a man named Billy Billy who is being accused of being an envious person spreading negativity.

The chorus starts with the exclamation "Etiyoyeee" which is a common West African expression used to show excitement or enthusiasm. This is followed by the names of Tantie Agnès and Colonel Yao Michel, who are both known figures in Guinea. Tantie Agnès is a popular singer and actress from Guinea, while Colonel Yao Michel is a former Guinean political and military figure who played a key role in the country's independence movement.

The lyric "Billy Billy, ce sont les jaloux, ces eux les aigris akpessement dit c sa" can be translated to "Billy Billy, it's the jealous ones, they're the bitter ones, that's what they say". This part of the song highlights the theme of jealousy and its negative impact on individuals and society.
