Film I will remember forever. I revisit this film and this soundtrack every year. I will just not forget this movie. This movie made me let go of things and be in your own peace. It gave me the definition of depression.

@sk8mafia214

Me too. Usually I’ll watching it once it’s dark out or around when it’s snow outside.

@mr_mysteryyyy

Same for me too

I think the ending is pretty much: "sometimes things don't work out the way we want them to. Or in the end, everything won't be 'okay', and that's okay. Because we live on and we change, and we adapt and we live on and continue to find happiness. And that's how it's going to be okay." Just like how in the end of the film, Lee can't figure out a way to stay in Manchester, but he has bonded with Patrick infinitely, and has a spare room for him to visit whenever he wants to spend time with him. He found a new way for thinks to work out and to have his peace of mind. That's how he finds happiness and contentment in the closing scene and frames of the film. And that's okay.

Macbeth All hail Macbeth, Thane of Cawdor

Yes. It had the most optimistic ending it could have had while maintaining its integrity. "You're just going to disappear?" "No. No!" Lee is looking for a place with an extra room for a visitor. When he interacts with the man with the water heater, he's more responsive than he was with the tenants at the beginning. There's so much talk in the film about the ground being too cold, too hard. Now that ground has softened. Winter into spring. Lee and Patrick are fishing again. They can't ever have again what was, but there is still something good. Like Joe, Lee when we first meet him is dying of a kind of "chronic heart failure." But we get signs that he might make it.

@dethakevin

Bro i just finished watching this movie. And i cried while i reading your comment.

@CalvezTheKiller

@@dethakevin Damn bro. Glad I could provide any catharsis. Even 5 years later. Wonderful film which reflects life realistically. Things don’t go the way we want to and that’s alright. We move on. Tragedy strikes and not only do we learn to live with it, we must. Things work out. Thanks for the comment.
