1st) … Read Full Bio ↴There are at least six artists/bands, who are called "Leslie".
1st) Leslie, born February 4, 1985 in Le Mans (France) is a young R 'n B singer with French, Vietnamese and Polynesian origins, revealed by a show on the M6 channel "Graines de Star" (Seeds of Star). She works with the duet Koré & Skalp, of which one of the two members is her husband.
From 2004 until 2005, she gained enormous fame in France with her LPs "Je suis et je resterai" and "Mes couleurs" with the hitsingles "Sobri (Notre Destin)" with Amine and "Et J'Attends". In 2006, she released her first single of her third album called "L'envers de la terre".
2nd) Rising out of Charleston, SC, the city of dignity and grace, three musicians have come together to form the dynamic trio known as LESLIE. Combining raw energy and powerful musicianship, Sadler Vaden (vocals, guitar), Jason Fox (bass) and Jonathan Carman (drums) infuse rock, pop, and blues to create an honest, in-your-face rock n roll sound that is becoming all their own.
Formed in October of 2004, LESLIE spent the better part of 2005 recording their first E.P., touring, and building a fan base around the southeast. In 2006, LESLIE has already recorded a new collection of songs with Jake Sinclair (The Films), and has begun touring heavily as a part of their grassroots-style campaign to the top.
LESLIE draws influences from the likes of The Who, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Rolling Stones, Neil Young, and Oasis. The influences have collaborated to form one solid three piece band that challenges the new wave rock of today. The band is currently on tour in support of their new collection of songs labeled "Bee St. Sessions".
3rd) The ever-incestuous Washington D.C. scene was the fertile ground that gave birth to Leslie--a one-off project boasting members of Shudder to Think, Jawbox, and Edsel. Avant-pop for the international set or tricked out rock-n-roll for our outerspace mailorder customers. Whichever it is, Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha offered to produce a full-length album for the trio, and whatever you think of him, we still think that was pretty cool. (Also available as part of Jade Tree’s retrospective CD, The First Five Years [JT1050])
4th) A Mexican indie rock band from Guadalajara city with a first album called "National Star". The band's name is spelled L E S L I E and is integrated by Kaiser, Oby, DaN and Alex. Their sounds are highly influenced by the 80's pop glam music.
5th) A young Czech pop-rock band. Their first album "Fragments of The World" came out in early 2018.

Evolution
Leslie Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
SOS à toutes les bombes, qu'on me réponde
On me raconte mais,
Je n'vis pas dans ce monde
In Leslie's song "Evolution," the lyrics express a powerful message about humanity and the destructive path that we often choose to take. The opening lines, "L'homme crée puis détruit (yes it), au fil de sa vie, cherchant l'effort (yes it), au fil des erreurs" (Man creates, then destroys, throughout his life, seeking effort, over the course of his mistakes), highlight the cyclical nature of human behavior. We make things, then destroy them, and repeat the process. The next lines, "Mais dites-moi, pourquoi a-t-il fait ça? Le temps fait-il qu'un jour, on en soit là?" (But tell me, why did he do that? Does time lead to us ending up here?), question the reasons behind this destructive pattern and whether it's ultimately inevitable.
The chorus, "L'évolution, l'évolution, l'homme ne pourra plus changer, dîtes-le! L'évolution, l'évolution, l'homme ne pourra plus m'aider, dîtes-le! L'évolution, l'évolution, SOS à toutes les bombes, qu'on me réponde. L'évolution, l'évolution, ira plus en plus encore vers la destruction" (Evolution, evolution, man can no longer change, say it! Evolution, evolution, man can no longer help me, say it! Evolution, evolution, SOS to all bombs, answer me! Evolution, evolution, will increasingly head towards destruction), repeats the word "evolution," which usually implies progress and advancement. However, in this context, it suggests that humanity is evolving in the wrong direction, towards destruction and self-destruction. The ending lines, "Enfermés, prisonniers, même plus assez d'air pour respirer, victimes intimes pour avoir inventé le crime, on n'se méfie pas assez de nous-même" (Trapped, prisoners, not even enough air to breathe, intimate victims for having invented the crime, we don't distrust ourselves enough), paint a bleak picture of humanity as prisoners of our own destructive tendencies and victims of our own wrongdoing.
