Let 3 Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Duboko, duboko u utrobi Zemlje
Bijelo janje otrov pije,
Djeca vragu rogove bruse,
Iz očiju im ljubav sišu ose.

U zamišljenom kutu okrugle sobe
Dva dječaka se za nos drže,
Jedan drugog balegom hrane,
Kašlju i čujno se guše.

Oj dužine i širine!
Ekvator i paralele!
Gore, dolje, lijevo, desno, .
Ekvator i paralele.

Na sjeveru smrtno je zima,
Na jugu pingvini jedu ljude,
Na zapadu ljudi ljude,
A istok se trudi da kao zapad bude.

Oj dužine i širine!
Ekvator i paralele!
Gore, dolje, lijevo, desno, .
Ekvator i paralele.

Oj dužine i širine!
Ekvator i paralele!
Gore, dolje, lijevo, desno, .
Ekvator i paralele.

Na sjeveru smrtno je zima,
Na jugu pingvini jedu ljude,
Na zapadu ljudi ljude,
A istok se trudi da kao zapad bude.

Istok se trudi da kao zapad bude,
Istok se trudi da ...

Oj dužine i širine!
Ekvator i paralele!
Gore, dolje, lijevo, desno, .
Ekvator i paralele.

Oj dužine i širine!
Ekvator i paralele!

Gore, dolje, lijevo, desno, .
Ekvator i paralele.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Let 3's song Drama are a philosophical reflection on the interconnectedness of the world and its inhabitants. The opening lines suggest a dark and sinister atmosphere, with an image of a white lamb drinking poison and children sharpening their horns for the devil. The reference to love being sucked out of their eyes by wasps adds to the sense of despair and loss. The second stanza focuses on two boys who are feeding each other snot while struggling to breathe, perhaps hinting at the absurdity and meaninglessness of life.

The chorus, with its repetition of "Ekvator i paralele" (Equator and parallels), emphasizes the idea of global unity and the fact that we are all connected, no matter how different our circumstances. The subsequent lines that describe the extreme conditions in different parts of the world highlight the contrasts and inequalities that exist, but also imply that we all share a common humanity. The final repetition of "Istok se trudi da kao zapad bude" (The East is striving to be like the West) suggests a desire for uniformity and sameness, but also implies a resistance to such homogenization.
