The band initially scored minor success in the UK Singles Chart with their two of their first three singles "Crazy For You" (#44) and "Seventeen" (#44).[1] They also released "Face To Face" which was withdrawn from sale by the record label. "Crazy For You" was re-released in the UK entering the UK Singles Chart at #24, and climbing to finally reach a #2 peak selling over 400,000 copies in the process. The success of "Crazy For You" led to a remix of "Seventeen" - the track was unable to match the popularity of "Crazy For You" and peaked at #11.
With two hit singles secured, their debut album entitled Let Loose featuring keyboard player Adam Lee[2] was released peaking at #20 and selling 60,000 copies. The album release was followed by the single "One Night Stand" which peaked at #12. The final track to be taken from the album was the ballad "Best In Me" which, according to the album sleeve, was recorded in lead singer's Wermerling's bedroom at the age of fifteen. The track became their second UK Top 10 hit peaking at #8
The outfit then embarked on a UK tour, and after a seven month hiatus Let Loose returned with a new single "Everybody Say Everybody Do" which peaked at #29. Another seven months passed before a new single was released - a cover of the Bread track "Make It with You". The single reached #7 and giving the group their third Top 10 success.[1] This was followed with "'Take It Easy" which peaked at #25.[1]
The follow-up album Rollercoaster was released and peaked at #42 with sales of less than 30,000 copies. Two months later a final single was released from the album in time for the Christmas market but "Darling Be Home Soon" became one of the band's lowest charting singles reaching #65,[1] and Let Loose split up shortly afterwards. Richie joined the band 'Bottlefly', Rob Jeffrey continued playing guitar in other projects and Lee Murray became a DJ, session drummer, and has worked in management with Holly Valance, Kelly Brook and Page 3 model Keeley Hazell
In 1998 a Best of Let Loose album was released, but missed out on a UK Albums Chart position.
In 2006 Wermerling released his debut solo album, Lost. The album was released and funded by Wermerling and was available for download and as a CD through CDBaby.com and Wermerling's own website, but failed to make the chart.
In early 2008 Wermerling and Murray reunited to write and record together under the Let Loose name - Rob Jeffrey was contacted but declined to be involved in the band's comeback. As of December 2008 four new songs had been added to the official Let Loose MySpace page and a photo shoot has taken place. The band reported via MySpace that they are currently in talks with several record labels, regarding possible recording contracts for the band. Shortly afterward Wermerling and Murray parted way, however this time, Wermerling recruited four other all new band members. The album Paint It In Gold was released independently in May 2009 available as a limited CD through Wermerling's own website, and the first live appearance of Let Loose with their new line-up was on 4 June 2009.

To where ive gotta be in your arms girl
Nice and warm girl by my side
All the more i am sure i adore the smallest
Part of you, cant conceal it will reveal it
More and more
So please be mine tonight
Please be mine tonight
To end the day going seperate ways
Its the same, same, same
We're all just romeo and juliettes it seems
Dont you know, turn me on, cant you see
You're deep inside of me, i can feel it
As you're breathin', you are me, hey hey
Jeg Elsker Dig - L'amour her, Liebe Dich her
I love you
So please be mine tonight
Please be mine tonight
For its a shame, shame, shame
To end the day going seperate ways
Its the same, same, same
We're all just romeo and juliettes it seems
Somebody told me romance was a thing of the past
Well theres somethin' that you should know
Its a shame
Its a shame, shame shame
To end the day going seperate ways
Its the same, same, same
We're all just romeo and juliettes it seems
Its a shame, shame, shame
To end the day going seperate ways
Its the same, same, same
We're all just romeo and juliettes it seems
The lyrics to Let Loose's song "Shame" express the desire to be with someone, even if it's just for one night, and the disappointment that comes with having to part ways. The opening lines depict a sense of urgency to reunite with a loved one as the "sleeping storm" breaks at dawn. The singer longs to be in the arms of their partner, feeling their warmth by their side. The chorus emphasizes the sadness and frustration of having to say goodbye and go separate ways, comparing their situation to that of Romeo and Juliet. The lyrics also include snippets of different languages, expressing the universal nature of love and longing.
The song's message is relatable to anyone who has experienced the bittersweet feeling of a one-night stand or a short-term relationship. The lyrics speak to the desire to hold onto someone, even if it's just for a moment in time, and the pain of having to let go. The inclusion of phrases in different languages adds to the song's emotional depth and universality.
