My Son
Letta Mbulu Lyrics
My son
There's a place
Where you can walk
Facing the Sun
Waiting for you
Where you can grow
So big and strong
Without no fear
For you'll be free
Like a tree you will grow so tall
Strong and brave and you will speak for all
There must be such a place
All my life has been waste
Just like the Sea
I know there must be
Like a tree you will grow
Grow so tall
Strong and brave and you will speak for all
There must be such a place
All my life has been a waste
Just like the Sea
I know there must be
Roses are red (Iintyatyambo zibomvu)
Violets are blue (Neziluhlaza)
All live for two (Zintle zona zitheni)
Yet together they stand
Eziluhlaza iintyantyambo ezibomvu
Zintle futhi zifuze mna
Ndimhle ndifana neentyatyambo
Ndimhle ndifana neentyatyambo

I sang this song to my son in utero in 1969-1970.
I still sing this song today 2021.
Thanks Sister Letta, you got me through with/by Grace of Allah (SWT!) This is one of many songs in the soundtrack of my life! Alhumdulilah!
