Seven Months
Letter Kills Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

it's been so long
can i have a minute of your time
this won't take long
to let you know where i stand
where i am

cause it's been seven long full months
since i could hold your hands
it's okay
i understand

you say that i'm in love
would that be too much?
and you said these thoughts would fade away
but knowing this
waiting takes so long

this time tell me more than you know
and i still seem to notice
when you're here, when you're there
for some reason i care

cause it's been seven long full months
since i could ask you about your day
and know that i would be the first to hear you say

you say that i'm in love
would that bring too much?
you said these thoughts would fade away
but knowing this
waiting takes so long

you say that i'm in love
would that bring too much?
you said these thoughts would fade away
but knowing this
patience brings us change (??)

you say that i'm in love
would that bring too much?
you said these thoughts would fade away

but knowing this
patience brings us change

Overall Meaning

The song "Seven Months" by Letter Kills is about a person who is deeply in love with someone who is not with them physically. The lyrics express the longing and yearning for that person's love and affection. The singer begins by acknowledging the amount of time that has gone by since they last saw their love interest, and asks for a moment to express their feelings.

Throughout the song, the singer acknowledges that their love interest may not feel the same way about them, and that waiting for a response takes a toll. The singer asks their love interest whether they are truly in love with them or not, and whether confessing their love would be too much for them. They question whether their feelings will ever fade away or not.

The chorus consists of the repetition of the question "you say that I'm in love, would that bring too much?" The singer is hesitant to divulge their feelings fully due to the fear of rejection. However, they eventually realize that patience is key in any relationship and that waiting for their love interest's response could bring positive change.

Overall, the song portrays the emotions of someone who is deeply in love and waiting for a response, unsure of how their love interest truly feels about them.

wow. I like it, pretty different than their other songs. It reminds me a little of before today (old pierce the veil)

Would you by any chance have access to Letter Kills - "For the Weekend..." ?

I cannot find it anywhere and I distinctly remember all the lyrics and specifically a version that sounds so much like this song, like it was recorded around the same time, toned back.

And if anyone can find and upload Village Anthem they'd be a full fledged hero
