The blood You shed for me through Your pain
I don't understand, I can't explain
All I know is
I just wanna shower in Your rain
The blood you shed for me through Your pain
I don't understand, I can't explain
The blood that rained down from Your handsThe Blood of the Lamb
Now I understand
I'm gonna follow
Each and every one of Your commands
Let it rain down
I remember back then, I was way down
I told God I'm afraid, and I'm stuck in these chains
Was a slave, but the blood got me saved now
It's my Exodus song, say "Ciao" to the pharaoes
No demons can find me, boy "Hasta luego"
Ain't worried 'bout money, got Jireh for pesos
Jehova Rapha, whenever the pain shows
They 'gon judge, it's okay tho
I'm dripping in righteousness, I had to change clothes
Stepped to the court and he took all my crazy
Gwan, let 'em know that it's done, yeah it's case closed
Stand on his promise and patiently wait bro
Keep getting blessings I didn't even pray for
*RAHH*
To Jesus I'm grateful
You ever said yes when you wanted to say no?
Let it rain
The blood You shed for me through Your pain
I don't understand, I can't explain
All I know is
Is that all I want is shower in Your rainThe blood you shed for me through Your pain
I don't understand, I can't explain
The blood that rained down from Your hands
The Blood of the Lamb
Now I understand
I'm gonna follow
Each and every one of Your commands
It's raining over me
It's coming from the King
The blood has set me free
From my enemies
Covers all of my needs
Blessings all upon me
Joy is all that I see
Falling down on my knees
I surrender, to You, I surrender
In you, I proclaim that you're my God, You're my Saviour

You are my ya - aa - aa - yahweh oh!
Be the light of my life oh
In "Make It Rain," Lรฉvi weaves a poignant narrative that revolves around the themes of redemption, salvation, and divine gratitude. Right from the opening lines, the imagery of rain symbolizes a cleansing and nourishing experience, drawing a connection to the blood of Christ, which represents sacrifice and divine love. The repetition of the phrase โthe blood You shed for me through Your painโ signifies both admiration and a deep emotional response to the sacrifice made by Jesus. This initial confession highlights an acknowledgment of personal struggle, confusion, and the overarching sense of needing to be enveloped by this love and grace. The act of โshowering in Your rainโ serves as a powerful metaphor for wanting to be encompassed by the divine presence and mercy, providing solace from underlying feelings of unworthiness and mental anguish.
As the lyrics progress, Lรฉvi transitions from a state of confusion and struggle into one of clarity and purpose. He reflects on his journey from despair to hope, articulating feelings of being trapped in chains and the fear that accompanied that state. However, the introduction of salvation through โthe bloodโ acts as a liberating force, akin to the Biblical Exodus, where the Israelites were freed from their oppression. This metaphorical reference not only secures a deep connection to biblical narratives but reinforces the idea of personal liberation from sin and spiritual bondage. The terms โCiao to the pharaohsโ and โAinโt worried 'bout money, got Jireh for pesos,โ reflect a contrast between his ancient struggle against oppressors and contemporary concerns regarding materialism, illustrating a deep-rooted faith that transcends worldly cares.
Moreover, the lyrics convey a strong sense of transformation and commitment to living a life that aligns with divine principles. The line โdripping in righteousnessโ indicates that the singer feels renewed, shedding the "old clothes" of a previous way of life, which further highlights the process of spiritual renewal. By stating that he had โto change clothes,โ Lรฉvi suggests a profound metamorphosis where he willingly embraces a lifestyle that adheres to divine commands and moral righteousness. The reference to legal imageryโโstepped to the courtโ and โitโs case closedโโimplies that the singer has found freedom from judgment and condemnation, solidifying the belief that he has been vindicated through faith. The subsequent mention of blessings received without even praying for them illustrates God's generosity and grace, reinforcing the theme of gratitude.
The concluding verses culminate in a celebratory declaration of faith and surrender to the divine will. The phrase โItโs raining over meโ encapsulates the core message of abundance and divine provision, illustrating the newfound joy and serenity that envelops the singer following the acceptance of God's grace. With words that express surrender and an affirmation of faithโโIn You, I proclaim that You're my God, Youโre my Saviourโโthere is a deep-seated conviction that serves as the cornerstone for a faithful life. The use of phrases in different languages, such as โNzambe na nga, Nkolo na nga,โ acknowledges a universal approach to spirituality. Ultimately, Lรฉvi's lyrics offer a rich tapestry of struggle, redemption, transformation, and unwavering faith that resonates deeply with those seeking solace and community in their spiritual journeys.
