Leviathan Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my
I love my baby and my baby loves me
Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my
I love my baby and my baby loves me

We talked it round and round again
Then drove the car down to the sea, the sea
We sat in the car park for an hour or two
I love my baby and my baby loves me, loves me

I love my baby and my baby loves me
It's vast and wild and it's deep as the sea, the sea
And as the sun sinks into the water now, now, now
I love my baby and my baby loves me, loves me

Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my
Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my
I love my baby and my baby loves me
Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my
Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my
I love my baby and my baby loves me
Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my
Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my
I love my baby and my baby loves me
Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my
Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my
I love my baby and my baby loves me
Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my
Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my
I love my baby and my baby loves me

Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my
I love my baby and my baby loves me

This story is, plainly and undeniably, wrong.
The dive conducted in 1960 by the "Trieste" bathyscap (or deep-dive submarine, however you wanna call it), was first and foremost a scientific operation.
Aboard the "Trieste" were two people, one of which a soldier - US Navy lieutanant Don Walsh. The other man, and pilot of the Sub, was Jacques Piccard, a swiss oceanographer and the son of the engineer who designed the bathyscap.
The descend took them 4 hours and 47 minutes, after which they had reached 'Challenger Deep', the deepest known point in all of Earth's oceans. Down there, they described a lot of creatures/animals. Piccard and Walsh claimed to have seen several flatfish.
(This claim is already very unlikely AND was later debunked by modern scientists; it is believed that what they saw were invertebrates, a notion both men claimed to be possible due to the relative similarities between flatfish and, e.g. sea cucumbers)
No mention whatsoever of a, and I quote, "Huge shadow with three heads".

At this I'd like to ask if anyone of you, dear readers, has ever seen an animal with more than one head in their life.
The answer to that question would be a firm and confident 'Heck no, why would anything have more than one head, what would be the advantages of that, the only way that could happen is by a terrible birth defect, the poor creature would probably die very fast'.
(At this I'd recommend to all who are interested to look up polycephaly)

Lastly, the hull of the ship was mostly intact upon resurfacing. The only thing that was actually broken is one of the Sub's windows, which were made from acrylic glass. The windows were multi-paned, and one of the outer panes couldn't withstand the pressure and cracked.

Don't believe all the bs you find online, and absolutely don't believe in some fan-fic written centuries ago. But, before I descend into a rant against the bible, I'll just stop and spare me the effort.

Have a nice one.

I think the deeper the bigger stuff are

Same it scary

@Files_Loathing

That is a point , but at that depth , things can't be that big, they don't have enough food to sustain themselves

@Lilbird2fye

@@Files_Loathing 1. We could never know that cause thereโ€™s deep places we canโ€™t reach 2. If one thing is huge Iโ€™m sure another is huge basically a ecosystem 3. Youโ€™ll never know unless you find one but no one will explore the full ocean in any life time
