Overall Meaning

The lyrics in "Radio Babylon" by Liam Prodigy are difficult to decipher, as they consist mainly of repetitions of the words "Babylon" and "Woo! Alright!" along with the phrase "Burning with ecstasy." However, the use of "Babylon" in the song has significant cultural and historical connotations. Babylon is a biblical city and a metaphor for a place of sin and corruption, often used in Rastafarian culture to refer to oppressive systems that need to be dismantled. The use of the phrase "Redeemer for the culture" further supports the idea that the song may be calling for societal change.

Additionally, the repetition of "Woo! Alright!" could be interpreted as a form of ecstatic release, perhaps urging listeners to let go of societal pressures and liberate themselves. The use of the word "ecstasy" could also refer to the drug of the same name and its ability to produce euphoria and heightened sensations.

Overall, "Radio Babylon" uses repetitive and enigmatic lyrics to create a hypnotic and intense atmosphere that encourages listeners to let go and embrace a more liberating and ecstatic alternative to societal norms.

Classic track, does not sound dated (except after 3:30) clever use of a boney M sample. Liam Howlett the master of breakbeat recycling!

@MalaZima

burning with ekstaziii

@nodlezfodlez

is this not just the original? however if you want to get technical Charly is kinda a remix of radio babylon ;)

@kamran102

This ain't a remix folks...

@Doodlebugdude

This is not a remix. The bit at 3:30 sounds like it's being mixed into another track and suddenly the track ends. It's deffo not a remix as I had the 12" original and that was years before the Prodigy ever came on the scene.

@mylivetubetv

it is from his mix album. it was not a remix.

@Doodlebugdude

This is the original, not a remix. I got 2 minutes in and expected something else to happen. I used to own the 12" (Ex-girlfriend long story). :(
