Their first single "Thinking It Over" cracked the UK Top 5, surprising fans and skeptics alike. A second single, "Doin' It", did not chart as well as their debut, making a modest impact at #14. At the same time the group was also addressing a lawsuit concerning their name. The matter was resolved by adding an 'X' to their band name, a decision that took into account suggestions from their fans.
Liberty X scored a UK #1 hit with the release of their third single, "Just A Little". With sales in excess of 500,000 units, "Just a Little" ended as the 7th best selling single of 2002. Their success was maintained with the release of both "Got To Have Your Love" (UK #2) and its parent album Thinking It Over, which debuted in the Top 3 of their respective charts. This was followed by another Top 10 success, "Holding On For You". Their debut album eventually earned multi-platinum recognition, selling close to 750,000 units in the UK.
The band's second album, Being Somebody, followed in 2003. Three additional Top 20 hit singles came from this record: "Being Nobody" (UK #3), "Jumpin" (UK #6), and "Everybody Cries" (UK #13). Being Somebody became certified gold and sold over 200,000 copies in the United Kingdom.
Their third full-length, X, was released in 2005. Despite the fact that it spawned another two additional Top 10 singles for the group, it became their least successful album to date. The singles released from this album included "Song 4 Lovers" (UK #5) and a remake of Shalamar's classic "A Night To Remember". Liberty X's version, which peaked at #6 in the UK, was used as the official track for the Children In Need charity. The third single to be released from the album was the title track "X", but due to lack of proper promotion, it peaked at #47. Their album, X, peaked at #27 in October of 2005 and sold over 50,000 copies.
In May of 2007 the band announced that they were splitting up stating that the music world had "changed too much since we began". They are all still friends and are currently working on solo projects.

See it from the other side,
Leave reality behind,
For a place called satisfied.
Ever wanted to take a chance,
Be a slave to circumstance,
Let me tie up both your hands,
'Cause you know that I want it,
And you know that I need it,
And you know that I'm feeling
Just you and me, yeah.
Close your eyes,
Just for a minute baby,
Fantasise, if you are with it,
There's a paradise
Where I can give you what you need.
Tell me what are you waiting for,
Put the do not disturb outside the door,
Before the evenings gone,
Gonna turn it on yeah,
Gonna let you count to ten,
To get your breath back again,
And then when you do,
I'll give it to you, yeah.
'Cause you know that I want it,
And you know that I need it,
And you know that I'm feeling it
Just you and me, yeah.
Close your eyes,
Just for a minute baby,
Fantasise, if you are with it,
There's a paradise
Close your eyes,
Just for a minute baby,
Fantasise, if you are with it,
There's a paradise
I'll give you all the love you need in this world,
I'll take away all the pain, all the hurt.
Baby oh, oh.
Close your eyes,
Just for a minute baby,
Fantasise, if you are with it,
There's a paradise
Close your eyes,
Just for a minute baby,
Fantasise, if you are with it,
There's a paradise
