Their first single "Thinking It Over" cracked the UK Top 5, surprising fans and skeptics alike. A second single, "Doin' It", did not chart as well as their debut, making a modest impact at #14. At the same time the group was also addressing a lawsuit concerning their name. The matter was resolved by adding an 'X' to their band name, a decision that took into account suggestions from their fans.
Liberty X scored a UK #1 hit with the release of their third single, "Just A Little". With sales in excess of 500,000 units, "Just a Little" ended as the 7th best selling single of 2002. Their success was maintained with the release of both "Got To Have Your Love" (UK #2) and its parent album Thinking It Over, which debuted in the Top 3 of their respective charts. This was followed by another Top 10 success, "Holding On For You". Their debut album eventually earned multi-platinum recognition, selling close to 750,000 units in the UK.
The band's second album, Being Somebody, followed in 2003. Three additional Top 20 hit singles came from this record: "Being Nobody" (UK #3), "Jumpin" (UK #6), and "Everybody Cries" (UK #13). Being Somebody became certified gold and sold over 200,000 copies in the United Kingdom.
Their third full-length, X, was released in 2005. Despite the fact that it spawned another two additional Top 10 singles for the group, it became their least successful album to date. The singles released from this album included "Song 4 Lovers" (UK #5) and a remake of Shalamar's classic "A Night To Remember". Liberty X's version, which peaked at #6 in the UK, was used as the official track for the Children In Need charity. The third single to be released from the album was the title track "X", but due to lack of proper promotion, it peaked at #47. Their album, X, peaked at #27 in October of 2005 and sold over 50,000 copies.
In May of 2007 the band announced that they were splitting up stating that the music world had "changed too much since we began". They are all still friends and are currently working on solo projects.

Yeah yeah
Hmm
Sexy, everything about you is so sexy
You don't even know what you got
You really hit my spot
Oh yeah, yeah
Please don't take this wrong 'cause it's a compliment
I just wanna get with your flow
You've gotta learn to let go
Oh baby, won't you
Work it a little (oh yeah)
Get hot just a little
Meet me in the middle
Let go, just a little bit more (just a little bit)
Gimme just a little bit more (just a little, just a little)
Let me, I'll do anything if you just let me (come on baby)
Find a way to make you explore
I know you wanna break down those walls, yeah yeah
And it's so challenging
Getting close to you's what I'm imagining
I just wanna see you get down
You gotta let it all out
Oh baby, won't you just
Work it a little (oh yeah)
Get hot just a little
Meet me in the middle
Let go, just a little bit more (just a little bit)
Gimme just a little bit more
Just a little bit more (just a little)
Work it a little
Get hot just a little (oh yeah)
Meet me in the middle
Let go, just a little bit more (just a little bit)
Gimme just a little bit more, gimme just a little bit more (just a little)
It's so exciting, the way you're inviting me, yeah (I know you really like it like that, ah)
Can't get enough, won't you satisfy my needs (please let me be)
Work it a little
Get hot just a little
Meet me in the middle
Let go, just a little bit more (just a little bit more)
Gimme just a little bit more
Just a little bit more, just a little bit of work with me
Work it a little
Get hot just a little
Meet me in the middle
Let go, just a little bit more (just a little bit more)
Gimme just a little bit more (gimme just a little bit more)
Work it a little
Get hot just a little
Meet me in the middle
Let go, just a little bit more (just a little bit more)
Gimme just a little bit more (just a little, just a little)
(Work) sexy
(Get hot) everything about you so sexy (meet, don't let go)
You don't even know (just a little)
Gimme just a little bit more (just a little)
The song Just A Little by Liberty X is about the singer’s sexual desire for their partner. The lyrics explain how the singer finds everything about their partner to be sexy and how they want their partner to let loose and become more comfortable in their skin. The phrase “work it” is used as a suggestion for the partner to let go of their inhibitions on the dance floor and in their sex life. The song’s upbeat tempo and catchy refrain make it a classic pop song from the early 2000s.
The chorus of the song encourages the partner to work it and get hot just a little, saying “let go, just a little bit more” and “gimme just a little bit more”. The song’s lyrics express the singer’s longing for their partner to break down their walls and let go of their reservations. It also suggests that the singer is willing to do anything to make their partner happy and satisfied.
The song became a huge hit in the UK, where it reached number one in the charts. It was also popular in Australia and New Zealand. The success of the song led to Liberty X achieving mainstream success as a pop group. The song’s catchy tune and relatable lyrics made it a dance floor favourite and a karaoke classic.
