1. LIFE - Brit… Read Full Bio ↴Numerous artists have used the name Life, including:
1. LIFE - British Post-Punk band formally known as The Neat. Their debut single "I Wanna Forget" was released on 21st October 2013 via Birthday Records. LIFE are anchored by their hometown, Hull, UK; the geography, history and community has always been the inspiration behind their creativity and on their third LP, North East Coastal Town, released on 19th August 2022, the band paid homage to Hull and its folk.
2. Life - a crasher crust punk band from Japan. LIFE stands for Liberty Independence Freedom Equality. It all started in 1991. That was when we started to make plans for a new band. "Abe-chan" (Bass) and Ishiyama "Aniki"(Drum) joined hands and began attending amateur band presentations to scout around for additional members. It wasn't long before Abe-chan got ahold of the singer Hiro at a Kokubunji Morgana performance, who then became a new member to the band. It was in May of 1991, and it was a moment that signaled to beginning of LiFE. In August of the same year, Hiro introduced Naoya, a guitarist from his home town, to the group as a new member. In December, we pulled off our first live performance at 20000V, in Ko-enji (Tokyo).
Our original tastes in music were quite different than they are now. It was like a mixture of Japanese hard-core sound and crust core sound. 1992 saw the departure of Ishiyama "Aniki" and the induction of Kajiyan, our current drummer. In 1993, our original guitarist Naoya dropped out, and replaced by 〇〇, after which our music was transformed to Scandinavian crust noise core sound. In 1998, our second guitarist dropped out 〇〇. We also went through a phase without a Bassist. For some time, we got by with a fill-in, "Matchan" (from FRIGORA). In 1998 "Maakun" joined the group as a new guitarist. In April of 2008, "Maakun" (guitar) dropped out. While we looked for a new guitarist, "Abe-chan" traded in his bass for a guitar, and we continued on as a band of three without a bassist. In September of 2008, new Bassist "Nori-san" (Screwwithin) replaced. In September of 2009, new twin Guitarist "Taka" replaced.
Our music has changed over time since we first formed a group, but we continue to devote ourselves to the pursuit of ever-changing new music.
3. Life - a Swedish power trio (Anders Nordh, Paul Sundlin and Thomas Rydberg) who released one self-titled album and two singles for EMI in 1970 and 1971.
4. Life - a British quartet that made mainstream, somewhat bluesy, slightly prog-ish rock rather in the style of Argent or Wishbone Ash. Their one album for Polydor, 1974’s Life After Death, was produced by Chris White of the Zombies. Life’s keyboardist Ian Gibbons later ended up in the Kinks.
5. Life - a Manchester band formed in 1984 by New Order crew member Andy Robinson together with guitarist Graham Ellis and singer Rita Griffiths. Two singles appeared on Factory Records - Tell Me (Fac 106, July 1984) and Optimism (Fac 122, April 1985) - both produced by Steve Morris with Gillian Gilbert (of New Order). Factory Benelux also released a French language version of Tell Me, Dites Moi. The band also played several dates with New Order and Durutti Column. Andy Robinson went on to manage New Order.
6. Life - an a underground rapper who also goes by the name of Ranj or The Baran. His single "Fresh Meat (Ranj Is Back)" spread quickly throughout California and most of the USA.
7. Life - a London hip-hop artist, member of the group Phi-Life Cypher.
8. Life - an experimental post-rock/indie band from South Florida. Their sound is influenced by The Samuel Jackson Five, The Six Parts Seven, and other experimental and post-rock flavored music. They have self-recorded and -released three albums, titled (in chronological order): "Living," "Dying," and "Flows," all of which can be downloaded free at their official web page, http://lifemusic.bandcamp.com.
9. Life - the alias UK techno artist Oliver Ho used for 2 releases on the Lost affiliated Cosmic ID label.
10. Life - a Seattle punk band that draws influences from hardcore, death metal, post 90s punk, blues, and socialism.
11. LIFE - Life is a four piece from London fronted by 20 year old Mike Sharp.

Back in the day I was up
Lockdown had me flooded
Putting numbers up
Now I can't put up a fight
Now I can't tell what's right
Come down had me oozing
Waiting for days to rise
Half handcuff now I'm back in
No criss-cross no lacking
Loaded up now we dancing
Now we up but ain't faded
Blank wall now it's painted
Dark minds ain't tainted
Yuh
Because the come down got me losing got me tweaking got me sifted
Looking to the sky, to see the days are rising
I just don't believe it
I don't think it'll happen
Nah, it won't happen
It won't happen
If you don't fuck with my beats then I can't hang with you no more
The sun is beating its rays down reminding me you're close
Yeah the clouds getting wetter, I can barely see
Half-bred in this gang town all eyes on me
Yeah I see you in reflections
You only exist inside me
Figment of my 'magination
Realize no one else sees
Scroll through all the towels
Shopping with you're beastie
All these model gowns
I'm drowning no one else sees
Aye, yuh, nobody here could save you
Hell arrives you wait
Roll models won't take you
Fiction into his pocket yuh
See him dip, go sock him
Four-thousand new cases yuh
Anonymous ain't stopping
Back in the day I was rolling
Back in the day I was up
Lockdown had me flooded
Putting numbers up
Now I can't put up a fight
Now I can't tell what's right
Come down had me oozing
Because the come down had me losing had me tweaking had me sifted
Looking to the sky, I the days are rising
Starting to believe it
I think it's gonna happen
Yeah it's gonna happen
It's gonna happen
It's gonna happen
Yeah, gonna happen
It's gonna happen
Stargazing late night you already know
Break ins and flashing
Holding onto my own
Yeah these riots got me faded
Holding onto your ghost
Half-bred in this gang town
All systems go
Yeah I see you in reflections
You only exist inside me
Figment of my 'magination
Realize no one else sees
Scroll through all the towels
Shopping with you're beastie
All these model gowns
I'm drowning no one else sees
The lyrics of Life's song "Come On in" depict an individual reflecting on their past and present experiences. The song seems to be divided into two main parts: before and after a "come down." In the first part of the song, the singer talks about their past experiences "rolling" and "putting numbers up." However, they are now unable to "put up a fight" or "tell what's right." This could be a reference to a change in circumstances, potentially due to lockdown. The singer mentions feeling "oozing," which could suggest symptoms of depression or anxiety.
The second part of the song seems to describe a shift in the singer's mindset. They are "looking to the sky" and beginning to "believe" that things will get better. However, they still feel isolated and disconnected from others. They see someone they are missing "in reflections," but that person is just a "figment" of their imagination. The singer also mentions "scroll[ing] through all the towels," which could be a metaphor for searching for something or someone, but not finding them. The song ends with a final affirmation that things will improve - "it's gonna happen."
Overall, the lyrics of "Come On in" capture the feelings of loss, isolation, and hope that many people may have experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

English Lyrics:
Babe you’re too controlling
Ima feed you to the wolves
When you get nasty
Back at me
But baby don’t distract me I’m a goner
I lost her
Like why the hell you wanna
Play me that way
You’re bad babe
You double faced entendre
Life goes
On and on and on and on and
on and on and on and on
On and on and on and on and
on and on and on and on
On and on and on and on and
on and on and on and on
On and on and on and on and
on and on and on and on
Babe you best believe it
Ima rip you up to pieces
I’m a lover, not a fighter
But I’ll light this place on fire
I want it
I’m on it
But babe at least I’m honest
I get tired of explaining
As these seasons keep on changing
Life goes
On and on and on and on and
on and on and on and on
(Yeah yeah yeah)
On and on and on and on and
on and on and on and on
(Yeah yeah yeah)
On and on and on and on and
on and on and on and on
(Yeah yeah yeah)
On and on and on and on and on and on and on and on
(Yeah yeah yeah)
Work all day
And then I wake up
Work all day
And then I wake up
Work all day
And then I wake up
Work all day
(Yeah yeah yeah)
Work all day
And then I wake up
Work all day
And then I wake up
Work all day
And then I wake up
Work all day
Spanish Lyrics:
Cariño eres demasiado controladora,
Te daré de comer a los lobos,
Cuando te pongas grosera,
Conmigo,
Pero cariño, no me distraigas,
Estoy perdido,
La perdí,
Como porqué diablo quieres,
Jugar conmigo de esa manera,
Eres mala, nena
Tú, con tus dobles sentidos
La vida
Sigue y sigue y sigue y sigue y
Sigue y sigue y sigue y sigue
Sigue y sigue y sigue y sigue y
Sigue y sigue y sigue y sigue
Sigue y sigue y sigue y sigue y
Sigue y sigue y sigue y sigue
Sigue y sigue y sigue y sigue y
Sigue y sigue y sigue y sigue
Cariño, lo debes de creer,
Te haré pedazos,
Soy un amante, no un luchador,
Pero prenderé fuego a este lugar,
Lo quiero,
Estoy en eso,
Pero nena, al menos soy honesto,
Me canso de explicar
En que estas estaciones siguen cambiando,
La vida
Sigue y sigue y sigue y sigue y
Sigue y sigue y sigue y sigue
(Yeah yeah yeah)
Sigue y sigue y sigue y sigue y
Sigue y sigue y sigue y sigue
(Yeah yeah yeah)
Sigue y sigue y sigue y sigue y
Sigue y sigue y sigue y sigue
(Yeah yeah yeah)
Sigue y sigue y sigue y sigue y
Sigue y sigue y sigue y sigue
(Yeah yeah yeah)
Trabajo todo el día
Y luego me despierto
Trabajo todo el día
Y luego me despierto
Trabajo todo el día
Y luego me despierto
Trabajo todo el día
