Mine
Life is Better Blonde Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Give you time, all my waking hours
Give me mine, sunny space and tyres
They're mine

We're not the same, arms and hands and ends
Same mistake, are these day time friends?
They're mine
You're mine

You're mine
You're mine mine

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Mine" by Life is Better Blonde are expressing a sense of self-ownership and the importance of balance in relationships. The first verse starts with the singer offering all their time to someone they care about, followed by a request for sunny space and time for themselves. The use of the word "mine" emphasizes the need for personal boundaries and individuality, regardless of how close the relationship may be. The second verse contrasts the idea of sameness with the possibility of differences, mistakes, and the temporary nature of certain friendships. The repeated refrain of "You're mine" serves as a reminder of the power and responsibility that comes with forming connections with others.

I love how a tiny single confetti is on his leg at the end. It signifies the possibility of our dreams to come into reality, but its just seems to far away almost impossible that many do what he did. Just push away their dreams, but its a little piece of hope that little confetti we can choose to take it and do our best or just leave it. Song is incredible.

This song make me feeling sad and hopeless but the way she smiles at 2:08 make me more hopeful. Love this song, thank you.

I found this song at a really strange time in my life, obviously not to long ago but I think I've moved past it. I would play it on repeat all the time. I forget what it sounds like almost immediately after it stops playing. But sometimes I come back to it and I'm just hit by a wave of something. I don't know what it is but I feel it so strongly I want to cry.

Initially listened to this song in the background at work; thought it was okay.Eventually watched the music video and now I can't stop listening to it. The Japanese organ-player just perfectly embodies the mood of this song.
