Ground Zero
Lil' Wayne feat. Drake Lyrics

Rock n roll Jesus with all my nails on
All I need is a blunt and a bail bond
And give these blind motherf***ers something to feel on
Rollin like a motherf***er put your wheels on
And lets roll down and heal till the heal gone
I started on the block but that something to build on
And how can I pray when I got nothing to kneel on
Hey
The ground is gone
Don't look now but the ground is gone
I'm so high that the ground is gone
And I don't even know which crowd I'm on
Don't look down but the ground is gone
Don't look down cause the ground is gone
Right now I'm a million miles from home
And I'm so high that the ground is gone
Son look up
Father just shook us
Never was around like bush is
War just came like Kane with bishop
Movies too different to act not used ta
Boys in the hood messed up
No blueprints they just do it,
Then they get commercial shootin'
Ruthless, live your T.I. or lose it
Stupid people like y'all once knew 'em
Who da, new n**** is show and prove it,
Never skateboard but I grinds in these Supras,
Y'all n****s foolin', for fame and the fortune,
Super human, 430 flame horses
Ready to use it, L.A. to Jerusalem
Betty Bootin', my girls fake Hollywood tits
Couldn't fool 'em, I just pull up
And I hold her, yeah, and adjust, to the mood
Jump-jump out a window
Lets-Lets-Lets jump off a building baby
Lets jump-jump out a window
Lets jump off a building baby
Jump-Jump out a window
Lets-Lets-Lets jump off a building baby
Lets jump-jump out a window
Lets jump off a building baby
I know a girl named Crystal her last name Ball
I look into her eyes and I can see it all
I see it when she cry, I'm there when she call
Cause I live inside of the mirror on the wall
Kill 'em all, die in the spirit of the war
Thinkin' would a mind be in spiritual fall
My lyric will leave you in physical awe,
Miserable, pitiful, ridicule, typical
Chemicals swimming through the inner tube
Get in you, that be the end of you
Times are beginnin' new
F*** what you done this about what I'm finna do
Motherf*** a 9 to 5
I rather do 10 to 2
Mothaf***er pin a guy now I write a pinnacle
The government is saints and its f***in' identical
Kiss my a**, and suck my genitals, tabernacle, b****!
Jump-Jump-Jump out a window
Lets-Lets-Lets jump off a building baby
Lets jump-jump out a window
Lets jump off a building baby
Lets-Lets-Lets jump off a building baby
Lets jump-jump out a window-window
Lets jump off a building baby
The lyrics to "Ground Zero" by Lil Wayne reflect the rapper's thoughts on life, society, and one's identity in a complex and often chaotic world. The metaphorical "ground" refers to stability and certainty, elements that are absent from the lives of many people, including the artist. Wayne's desire to distance himself from conformity and mainstream values is reflected in lines such as "Stupid people like y'all once knew 'em/ Who da, new n****as show and prove it" and "The government is saints, and it's f***in' identical." The rapper captures the feeling of being lost, disconnected, and uncertain in a rapidly changing world, suggesting that there may be no solid ground on which one can stand.
In the chorus of the song, "The ground is gone, don't look now, but the ground is gone/ I'm so high that the ground is gone/ And I don't even know which crowd I'm on," Wayne's use of the word "ground" takes on a double meaning. While it initially referred to a fixed point, here, it represents the surface of the earth that we walk on. Wayne creates a contrast between the idea of having one's feet firmly planted on the ground and a state of mental and emotional upheaval.
On the whole, "Ground Zero" is a commentary on life as Wayne knows it. He suggests that even when we think we understand ourselves or our place in the world, we are always on shaky ground. Through his lyrics, Lil Wayne moves his audience to think about larger questions of identity and purpose.

If you listen well you will notice this song is actually a completely Wayne song, Drake just re-rapped Lil Wayne's first part. "Marley G" - Lil Wayne's friend. "Hollygrove" - Where Lil Wayne came from, "I been sippin" - Lean, what Lil Wayne drank for years Drake has never.
Lil Wayne used to make songs and then he'd get Drake to copy his parts as he knew Drake could rap and sing and was going to be a star but couldn't make his own stuff yet.
