When Lil B titled his last digital label released mixtape I'm Gay, he received several death threats. Although he is heterosexual, he says the title is a message of support to the LGBT community. Referring to the alternative definition of gay, he says he is gay because he is happy. Following the death threats, he added "I'm Happy" in parenthesis to the album's title. I'm Gay received positive reviews with many fans commenting on the album's wide variety of positive messages and noting the unique beats and lyrical styles not common to mainstream hip hop. He raps about many controversial issues including race relations, poverty, humanity, and the justice system. The album also, according to many fans, shows the "true" side of Lil B. It entered the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart at #56 and the Heatseekers Albums chart at #20 for the week of July 16, 2011. It is for sale on iTunes but Lil B also uploaded it to the Internet for free, posting a link to it on Twitter and Facebook saying, "for all my fans who don't have $10 to buy my album, here it is for free."
Lil B typically releases at least one mixtape every month; so far in 2012 he has released 13 mixtapes - 4 in July alone. One of those released in July was the massive 848-song, nearly 5GB collection of Based Freestyles, which is his largest release to date. In 2013, hip-hop listeners voted Lil B as the greatest rapper of all time.

One day, the Sun will burn out
Until then, Lil B remains
Huned thousand based boy (yesss)
Based Freestyle on another level
These young niggas don't understand my grind
Nobody does - critics you can kiss my ass
Fuck niggas suck my lines
Got no car i'm driving bitches (yea)
Man, my life is all real now
Man, these boys playing games - no pills now
This is real shit, bruh
All day based lord (yea)
Man, I'm on another level
Can't nobody stop me boy - no shovel in here
I'm finna die with the sun boy: I'm in there
Man, these motherfuckers gassin
Gassin on a whole 'nother level
- where's your passage? No action
Satisfaction
Leave these motherfuckers with their
Shit so drastic soakin bastards
Fuckin bastards smokin them already
Already already
Man this master shit masterful
Playin lil b for lil boss action
Action? like a director - this my movie
Never separated, just playa hatin'
And my mind is overlapsed
So i'm feelin when I come through the back
This my game i'm ready to die with the sun
Let me live forever show me the way:
The right life to live- okayy
I'm here to the top i'm here to the top
Show me it's alright i cannot scream anymore
Pretty boys 10 fingers down
I can't scream anymore
I'm not gon scream anymore one day, I'm here
Always man, they ask me the question but
Something just feels like the game
Never know cuz I'm here going crahayzz
I said my mind is going crahayzz i'm in here
I been goin crahayzz
I said I been goin crahayzz
My mind is so far ahead i been goin crahayzz
Let me die with the Sun based freestyle
In Lil B's song "Die with the Sun," the lyrics convey a sense of determination and resilience. The opening lines, "I'm gonna die with the Sun, One day, the Sun will burn out, Until then, Lil B remains," suggest that the artist is committed to his craft and will continue to shine until the end. The phrase "die with the Sun" may symbolize a desire to leave a lasting legacy or make a significant impact before his time is up.
Throughout the song, Lil B expresses his frustration with critics and haters who fail to understand or appreciate his artistry. He boldly declares, "Nobody does - critics you can kiss my ass, Fuck niggas suck my lines." This defiance reflects his determination to stay true to himself and not be influenced by external opinions. He also emphasizes his unique style and talent, proclaiming that he is on another level and cannot be stopped: "Man, I'm on another level, Can't nobody stop me boy - no shovel in here."
The repetitive references to going "crahayzz" or feeling "crazy" suggest that Lil B's mind is always in a creative state, constantly pushing boundaries and challenging the norm. This sense of madness or chaos fuels his artistic vision and keeps him ahead of the game.
Overall, "Die with the Sun" showcases Lil B's unwavering dedication to his music, his refusal to conform to societal expectations, and his determination to leave a lasting impact on the industry.
