Rodeo
Lil Nas Lyrics

Oh here we go, please let me know
Off we go, don't leave me in the cold
If I took you everywhere, then well, you wouldn't know how to walk
If I spoke on your behalf, then well, you wouldn't know how to talk
If I gave you everything and everything is what I bought
I didn't mean to make you mad, I don't like when you're upset
I'ma call you later on, baby girl, don't you forget
I'ma take you from this party, we might go and have some sex
Or we do that later on, now we lit like cigarettes
I thought you would stay with me
I'm yours and you're mine, I envy
So what I'm gon' do?
I don't have no clue, ain't no me without you
Oh here we go, please let me know
Off we go, don't leave me in the cold
If I took you everywhere, then well, you wouldn't know how to walk
If I spoke on your behalf, then well, you wouldn't know how to talk
If I gave you everything and everything is what I bought
I can take it all back, I never cared 'bout what you thought
I might spin the block on twelve horses
Buy the block and get a boss bitch
Grown man, but when the Henny hit
I might Milly Rock then get up off it
In the new days with my old ways
Game change, but the name don't
My whores change, is they main hoes
Got a lot of them, the whole stable
I don't lie to them, there's no fables
Rap don, country flavor
Now we worldwide, we made a big brand
Now our catalog is so major
Rodeo or Rodeo, hoe-folio is so player
Tomato or tomato, Nas X or Big Nas, this shit ride
Oh here we go, please let me know (Nas and Nas X)
Off we go, don't leave me in the cold (Big Nas and Lil Nas, yeah)
(I thought you would stay with me
I'm yours and you're mine, I envy
So what I'm gon' do?
I don't have no clue, ain't no me without you)
The lyrics of "Rodeo" featuring Cardi B by Lil Nas X are about the ups and downs of a relationship. Lil Nas X starts the first verse by acknowledging that he has been taking care of his partner too much to the point where they have become too dependent on him. He then reveals that he can take everything he has given back from his partner because he never cared about what they thought.
In the chorus, Lil Nas X admits that he thought his partner would never leave him and that he cannot live without them. The second verse then switches the focus to Lil Nas X's success. He talks about how he can buy anything he wants, but it doesn't compare to having a loyal partner by his side. He then raps about how his fame has not changed who he is, and he remains true to himself.
The bridge features Lil Nas X and Big Nas exchanging bars and finishing each others' sentences. They emphasize that they are a team and that they will always stick together.
Overall, the lyrics of "Rodeo" show not only Lil Nas X's skill at blending different genres of music but also his ability to relate to his audience by exploring vulnerable emotions such as dependence, envy, and loyalty.

Big Nas and Lil Nas. Two generations of hip hop together. I know a lot of you don't know who Nas is, but making this song with the guy was probably a dream come true for Lil Nas X. Speaks a lot to Nas' character that he never tired getting Lil Nas to change his stage name so that he wouldn't take clicks away from his name. He understands that this is the time for a new generation and that his spot on music history is carved in stone already
