Pump to your chest I aint talkin' CPR
Riding this track like a muthafucking street car
New Orleans coroner
His name is Frank Minyard
F-ck with me wrong, youβll be waking up in his yard
Man I go crazy on the beat I go Nimrod
Man I act a ass, treat the beat like a hemorrhoid
Man I go to work on the beat, call it employ
Man I kicks it, b-tch get your shin guard
Uh, young money run this towns, countries
I still eat rappers, hmm, scrumptious
My goons tote thumpers
They pop em like crumpers

I pop like lollies, you drop like eyelids
The money keep calling, I hear this sh-t dialling
And they say money talks you can hear my sh-t hollerβn
You softer than nalin, oops I meant nylon
Perfection is the goal, and Iβm heading to the pylon

But how come Iβm still colder than commonly
Yeah we run this town, like a lot of feet
Young Mula Baby
I'm proud of me
(proud of me)
In Lil Wayne's song Run This Town, he begins with a boastful statement, declaring his readiness for war and stating his intent to dominate the town. He makes an assertion of his superiority over others who may think they have what it takes to challenge him, using a string of metaphors to describe his skills. He compares himself to a character from the Bible, Nimrod, who was known for his hunting skills, stating that he goes crazy on the beat. He also likens himself to an unpleasant bodily condition, indicating that he treats the beat harshly. Nevertheless, he employs images of work, calling the beat his employ, and indicating that he goes to work on it as if he were an employee.
He presents Young Money as running the towns and countries, consuming other rappers as if they were food. He proceeds to use a string of superlatives, describing himself and his team as super-rich superheroes. He describes his sexual prowess with a superwoman, stating that he uses his super d-ck to make her come quickly. In his last verse, he uses a simile to describe his ability to outmaneuver the competition, like a hula hoop, indicating that they will have to loop his verses to catch up with him.
