In a pontiac lit up by the dashboard glow
They hold each other close
Under a harvest moon
Love is about to bloom
Chorus:
There's something in the air tonight
The center of the heart
You never see it comin
There isn't a warning, no reason, not a sign
But you can feel it everywhere
There's something in the air
Every tender touch is fire
Every single sound is the sound of desire
Like an angel's choir
Blinded by the sudden flash
Together they'll strike the perfect match
CHORUS
A little luck
An act of fate
Brought them here
Now, love can't wait
CHORUS
The song "Something in the Air" by Lila McCann is a romantic ballad that describes the feeling of being in love. The song revolves around two people who are driving on an old river road in a Pontiac under a harvest moon. As they hold each other close, there is something in the air tonight that is electric and ignites their love. Despite the lack of a warning, reason or sign, they feel that love is about to bloom.
The chorus of the song talks about how they can feel the love everywhere and they never saw it coming. Every touch, sound, and desire is like fire and an angel's choir. They are blinded by the sudden flash of love, but they know that they are perfect for each other. The lyrics are a beautiful representation of how love can be unexpected yet the most powerful force that can connect two souls. The last verse talks about how love is a little bit of luck and fate that brought them together, and now they know that they cannot wait for it anymore.
