Very fitting of the average woman in the West these days. Rejecting any semblance of tradition, family, or love in the name of money and instant gratification: in other words the idolator way of life.

Everyone is free to choose, that doesn’t mean they will make a good choice without guidance from people who care about them.

The story of the Genesis, especially if Lilith and the serpent are the same figure would make for great symbolism of real life female nature, as female friends tend to sabotage each other when it comes to relationships and making stable life decisions; misery loves company.

The actual story of why Lilith exists is because of a misinterpretation of the bible.
The bible was written by four authors.
Two of these both wrote the genesis in their own way. So the two parts were mixed together, which is why many parts of it are repeated, and it’s why it seems like Adam had two wives, when in fact it was only one, but because the verse was repeated it seemed like two.

So Lilith was actually just a misinterpretation created by the repetition of verses.

The only times the name Lilith is said is to describe a dark bird or owl like being that hunted children.

So the only reason she is called the “first feminist” is due to a constant current of misinterpretations.

She was never even a woman.

I always enjoy the contrast of the first women, Even and Lilith. Both were created to tend the garden in paradise and both decided to reject it and risk death in exchange for something they thought would be better. Lilith for Independence and Eve for Knowledge, both understandable desires that anyone could understand. And both would even become iconic mothers, Lilith of all demons and Eve of all humanity. And both get harshly represented by men for their understandable ambitions. Honestly I’d like to see more future adaptations that focuses on their dichotomy, as not only are they the spiritual first women but are incredibly influential ones as well

Honestly what I find interesting so far that I heard no one write/talk before about, is the fact that Lilith left the Garden of Eden as she was. She has never ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil as Eve and Adam did. So that must mean something, that she has other perceptions of what good and evil mean, I'm guessing. I did even read somewhere some speculation,as it mentions in the this vid, that it was not Lucifer that came as a snake but Lilith in revenge of Adam or something as that. If god had created them in the same light, they both should be treated as equals, Lilith shouldn't had to have submitted to Adam's will, and Adam shouldn't have to submit to hers. That's of course under the impression that they were truely equals, yet instead, Adam demanded a wife that would be submissive and come at his beckoning call, hence why Eve was made the way that she was, from Adam's rib, forever lesser, and forever tied to him, or simply just something he could control.

Then, to make matters worse, Lilith is portrayed as demon-like for what? Not bowing to Adam's will? Not agreeing with a divine creator? For wanting to be her own person as her creator intended her to be?

I think there’s an important element of this story that gets lost. Both Adam and G-d knew that it was not good for a man to be alone, and that none of the other creatures of the earth would satisfy in this role; Adam needed a partner that was like him, with a soul. Lilith seemed, at least initially, to fit this role as she was made in the same way as Adam: with dust and breath. However, depending on how the story is told, she had virtually no interest in this sort of arrangement. She cared about two things: independence and dominance… not exactly ideal traits for someone involved in a partnership. Thus, it was not sufficient for the two simply to be made of the same elements… there had to be a more fundamental connection. This is why Eve was created from Adam’s rib. She was literally a part of him, and being joined in marriage allowed for the reconnection of two souls, of two bodies, into one flesh. In the same way, men and women are reattached on this fundamental level when they join with their beshert in marriage. Being of the same body was the key to Adam and Eve’s successful partnership. In a way, Lilith never really had a chance because she would never feel this connection with Adam that Eve felt; she didn’t need to be with him in that same way that Eve did, hence the fierce independence and willingness to live as a demon rather than enter such a partnership. A tragic tale, but a lesson learned, nonetheless.

This is assuming, of course, that one takes the story of Lilith with any degree of seriousness. It’s not exactly canon, but provides interesting food for thought.

So odd. Of late I had a 'dream'. Lilith wanted equality and freedom. They brought out Eve thinking she’d be more obedient but she rebelled and chose knowledge over obedience and ignorance. It’s been twisted to seem like a story of the “evils” or weaknesses of women and how they must be kept in line. Wish we had the original writings. Sounds like she didn’t initially reject Adam or God until they tried to force her to submit to Adam which somehow I don’t think God would do but a man would. I think if Adam would have accepted her as equal God would have had no problem with it as I believe he does now.
I think it’s possible God felt sorry for Adam after she left and gave him Eve, he didn’t punish Lilith until she became angry at Adam getting his way rather than accepting her as an equal so she threatened their children which I kind of get. She may have actually loved him but just wanted life to be fair rather than unequal and if you recall Lucifer was also an angel who may have sided with her for having been hurt unfairly. Just a thought from a female perspective and I do believe in God and Christ, I just remember the Bible was written/translated by MEN

So Personally as a Christian. Here my intake on the matter. I happen to love studying these old relics, as if to understand it's history of my people. Personally I feel pity for Lilith and some how understand her, but what is it that drove her to defying Adam? What is it that drove her into madness? I believe she can be redeemed in my eyes. I’m surprised by the omission of the actual origin of this myth from the video itself. The whole origin of the Lilith myth comes from a simple inconsistency in the second chapter of the Book of Genesis. Verse seven says “Then the Lord God formed man and woman from the dust of the ground and breathed into their nostrils the breath of life, and the two became living” while verses 22-23 say “So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.” That’s it. That’s where “Lilith” comes from. The ancient Jews simply thought that, since the book describes two different creation stories for women, that something must’ve happened to the first one to make God want to introduce the second one. To describe it as if it is an actual Biblical story on the same level as, say, Noah’s Ark is pretty foolhardy. It levies unjust blame upon God in a story that is ultimately an invention of man. Of course I know that it comes from the Talmud, and you know to include that in the description, but the vast majority of people who watch this won’t look at either. You can already see this having an effect in your comment section. You see women talking about how misogynistic the Christian God is. So, to any person questioning God for this, either male or female, don’t be fooled by a 4 minute YouTube video.

this is a very interesting topic for numerous reasons, as a young man in his mid 20s I see the cultural outake of women being more independent and outspoken for there beliefs. So Lilith chose not to be submissive. Adam got intimidated and didn’t like the idea. Lilith was standing on her beliefs not being a doormat then got kicked out of Garden of Eden. Then comes Eve…they living life happy as a couple and Lilith had to come back and get revenge. Lol

Genesis had multiple authors, but for our purposes here there were two who wrote the opening sections about creation. Later Hebrew scholars combined both stories into one because each had elements that the other didn't, making it a more fleshed out story. However they forgot to edit out one of the creation-of-woman sections, thus you get "two wives of Adam". Basically, there was only Eve. It's just that the first author had her created at the same time as Adam (in clay) while the second had her created from his rib. All the stories about Lilith afterwards came from people misunderstanding the two-wives deal, so they started adding on to the myth by incorporating local Canaanite myths. For the record, the only Lilith in the actual Bible is a mythological creature that Isaiah references, and it's in a context of it being a desert, scavenger creature, not a succubus or anything like that. That's kind of it, really.

Okay so this clearly shows that women were thought as worthless from the very start...and tbh I kind of like lilith because she chose her independence and I have no idea why was she demonised just because she wanted her freedom...By the way I'm not Christian so don't get offended if I wrote something mean...🙂
