Playing shows on Warped Tour with comrades such as The Sounds, Yellowcard and My Chemical Romance, Lillix have earned a diverse and loyal fan base. Lillix have opened for high profile acts from Metric & Alanis Morisette to Aerosmith & KISS. Between live appearances on the Tom Green show, TRL and Much On Demand, Lillix extensively toured North America and Japan (where their album achieved Gold status). They have Juno nominations for “Best New Group” and “Best Pop Album” and won “Best New Group” at the Canadian Radio Music Awards.
In 2006 sisters Tasha-Ray and Lacey-Lee teamed up with drummer Alicia Warrington (Kelly Osbourne, Miley Cyrus) and released their sophomore album “Inside the Hollow”. The album was produced by Jeff Saltzman (The Killers) and James Michael (Motley Crue, Scorpions, Sixx A.M.). The single “Sweet Temptation” was voted one of the “Top 100 Songs of 2006” in Blender magazine.
After Touring “Inside the Hollow” and with the sudden and unexpected demise of Maverick Records. Alicia and founding member Louise Burns decided to depart the band. The Evin sisters have taken time to regroup and made a key decision to take on hard-hitting rock drummer Eric Hoodicoff (whom they have indefinitely borrowed from his renowned metal project Savage Blade). Lillix’s new line up is delving into sexy melodic dance grooves while incorporating a new sophisticated approach to their pop sensibility.
Currently recording their third and boldest album to date (title yet to be unveiled). Prepare for Lillix to hit radio stations and dance floors summer 2010.
Its About Time

It's about fun
I hate you, I love you
I just can't remember to forget you
Who are you, who needs you?
You make me feel alive, I die, so high
I'm crawling on the ground and
One of these days it all comes together
One of those days that goes on forever
Think I sound crazy? Maybe, whatever
What's it all about?
[Chorus]
It's about life, it's about fun
It's over before it has begun
It's about you, it's about me
It's about everything between and I say
I'm saying goodbye to you, I say hi to you with no clue
It's about time that I
Make up my mind
It's simple, confusing, the truth is I'm winning but I'm losing
And pulling and pushing, won't do me any good
It could, it should
I'm honest to myself that the truth is I lied
One of these days it all comes together
One of those days that goes on forever
Think I sound crazy? Maybe, whatever
What's it all about?
[Chorus]
Time is creeping behind me, surrounding around me
Fading the words so desperately
Now give me a reason that I can believe in
Time is something you can't rewind
One of these days it all comes together
One of those days that goes on forever
Think I sound crazy? Maybe, whatever
What's it all about?
[Chorus]
The lyrics of Lillix’s “It’s About Time” captures the ambivalence and complexity of trying to navigate life’s highs and lows. The opening lines of the chorus, “It's about life, it's about fun, it's over before it has begun” encapsulates the idea of the fleeting nature of life and how one should embrace every moment. The theme of being conflicted is introduced in the first verse with the lines, “I hate you, I love you, I just can't remember to forget you, who are you, who needs you?” which speaks to the struggle of trying to let go of someone or something that is toxic, yet still has a grip on you.
The second verse further highlights the internal turmoil a person feels during this time. Their feelings of confusion and self-awareness shine through in the lines, “It's simple, confusing, the truth is I'm winning but I'm losing, and pulling and pushing won't do me any good, it could, it should, I'm honest to myself that the truth is I lied”. It’s a powerful admission of the human condition where we sometimes struggle to reconcile our desires with the harsh realities of life. The song’s bridge brings a new layer of complexity with the lines, “Time is creeping behind me, surrounding around me, fading the words so desperately, now give me a reason that I can believe in, time is something you can't rewind”. It speaks to the relentless passage of time, how it shapes us, and how we are powerless to control it.

I love their music! I remember listening to them a long time ago. Listening as an adult, their songs hold so much meaning! They’re underrated.

Beautiful early 2000's pop music, oh I miss you! I wish I could go back to around 2000-2004. Pop music doesn't sound like this anymore. <3
