You're my magician
I tell you anything
You make it everything
Your inspiration
You're always there on time
Boy, your on my mind
Aah-ah, aah-ah, aah-ah-aaah-ah
Aah-ah, aah-ah, aah-ah-aaah-ah
You came to me and held me thigt
I was so mystified
You grinned at me, prince of my light
My wish is certified
You broke the spell with you kiss
Awaking my desire
You rang my bell, you couldn't miss
Our love was getting higher
My kingdom's yours and your is mine
Now, that we're together
Can't ask for more, you'd love so fine
I'll make it last forever

OK, here goes: This was around 1982, I was about eight-years-old. My parents and I were living in Poland at the time. Dad was getting into analogue Hi-Fi gear and he bought a reel-to-reel from a guy who also threw in a reel of some music he had recorded. This song popped up out of nowhere as it was recorded over an AC/DC tune. It was funny to hear this big rock music suddenly interrupted by this dance song, but ... I couldn't resist it. The hand-claps, that big long droney synth bass and then that infectious, pulsating synth riff that just hypnotized me and then BOOM!, the groove drops and Denyse Le-Page captivates me with her voice and that gorgeous melody. I thought: "What a tune!". It was everything I fell in love with about dance music. It was hypnotic, cool and I didn't want it to stop! I had these visions of grandeur about everything in the world that's cool whilst listening to this song. It made me want to drive a sports car and fly in a Lear jet. Only thing was since the song was in English which was a language I didn't speak at the time, I never caught the name of it nor the artist name. Few years later, we moved to Australia and I gradually started searching for all these precious little songs I heard years before when I was a kid. Searching for this song almost became and obsessive quest. I remembered all the details of the song but finding it was impossible and it was my little secret not to personally ask anyone about the song. I was a bit too embarrassed to hum it to anyone, but ... a few days ago, Google advertised that little "Find a song by humming" App. I blushed and hummed the melody into the mic and ... BAM! It returned as a match. Now, I'm listening to it pretty much everyday. How long has it been? 39-years! It still makes me feel amazing!

I had the same reaction when i first heard it on the radio at 1 am on a Saturday night , what made the search even more difficult was that i did not understand English as an 12 years old French boy , only when You Tube got invented that i tried to put the only sentence i kind of remembered :" You're magician" and like you BOOM it came up, i almost cried.

Thanks for telling us your story! All the best! :-) And don't worry: real men blush when trying to hum a melody of which they don't know the title.. Haha ;-)

No existen palabras para describir la hermosura de esta canción, solo resta dar gracias a dios por haber permitido que existiera y que nosotros la conociéramos, escucháramos y bailáramos.
