Would anyone kindly explain the "humour" of this sketch to me ? (I'm not from Glasgow nor dined at Pizza Hut). Is he actually skitting people who speak in this gruff, profane manner or is the joke what the character is actually saying? BTW - What IS the character actually saying? -Puzzled North of England Lady PS - Did JP "disgust" a person dining at Pizza Hut or is the title the result of poor spelling education and he was "discussing" (talking about) a dinner (meal) at said establishment?

John Paul- Pizza Hut, like many podcasts in the World of Glasgow series, could be regarded more as a horror story than a comedy sketch. It is made all the more frightening by the fact that this relentlessly cruel and gleefully sadistic young thug also happens to be the narrator and protagonist. Meanwhile, we the audience are given the role of the terrorisers' confidante implying that we ought to relate to and even sympathise with this vile specimen of humanity.
Podcast rated 8/10 by Comment Section Gobshite Quarterly.
