This song was just played on BBC Radio 6 Music, so I had to look it up. Great riff/groove, would be good to hear someone like Barrie Cadogan / Little Barrie do a version of it

I was weaned on songs like this. Met Link in Tucson early '70's and I told him his style was what gave me the drive to learn to play guitar in 1963. He got a little bit pissed, said I made him feel like an old man, but I believe really he felt honored that so many guitarists were influenced by him.

what a banging tune ! i wish i could dance with my girl to this all night long, with a ice cold brew in hand !! thanks for sharing! <3

This riff is older than Zep, Link or Bobby. It's an old blues riff. The blues is older than copyright law and recording equipment. Just enjoy the music guys.

voidforpurpose

Link ripped the guitar to ecstatic shreds!

Bobby Parker released "Watch Your Step" in 1961, Link Wray released "Black Widow" in 1963. Parker came first.

Harry Creech

Link is the father of BITCHIN' geetar!

there's an early soul/r&b record called "watch your step" by bobby parker that has that same riff, i'm not sure if link's record was first or bobby's.

Don

Have it on a '45 as the B side to "Jack the Ripper".
