Their only notable international hit, "Narcotic", was first released on a demo in 1996 and sold over 700.000 units when Virgin Records re-released it in 1998. Since then, Liquido hasn't been able to repeat this success, which led to a split from Virgin after two unsuccessful albums in 2004 and finally to the breakup of the band in 2009.
Tim Eiermann is known to be founding member of Death/Doom Metal act Pyogenesis, which released its first EP Ignis Creatio in 1992 through Osmose Productions. Wolle Maier also played in Pyogenesis.
Flip To Play

Some people say you're so cold
But listen
Get that
I cannot merely freeze
She said
How come
Your body's aching so bad
Can say they've got the guts
Or what is the term that they use for such things?
Well, nevermind
I'm sure somebody wrote a song about it
Got it?
That mindappearing meltdown
So I say you better watch me now, honey
On purpose getting nuts
And she calls my name
As sweet as she can
And she rules the game
While I will break away
And you know it
And blow it
And throw it all away
And she'll feed that
And see that
I flip myself to play
What now
You cannot break yourself and say so
But guess what
I cannot nearly breathe
So all I can say is that I find you quite attractive, honey
But, I'm sure somebody wrote a book about it
Got it?
And may I just ask
What if
I'd never noticed you at all?
And she calls my name
As sweet as she can
And she rules the game
While I will break away
And you know it
And blow it
And throw it all away
And she'll feed that
And see that
I flip myself to play
The song "Flip To Play" by Liquido is a mix of different emotions and themes, ranging from passion to escapism. The song starts with the singer questioning someone who is cold and unfeeling. The singer then talks about his own body's aches and how he wants to break free. The lyrics suggest that despite the singer's internal struggles, he is also looking for a release from his problems. This is shown when he says, "I flip myself to play."
The singer then questions the idea of fate and if they had never met, would things have turned out differently. This can be seen in the line, "What if I'd never noticed you at all?" However, the singer also acknowledges their attraction to the person, stating "I find you quite attractive, honey." In the end, the singer seems to be torn between wanting to escape from his problems and being drawn back to the person who rules his emotions.
One possible interpretation of the song is that it is about a tumultuous and intense relationship that the singer cannot escape from. Despite being aware of the toxic aspect of the relationship, the singer is drawn back to it because of the attraction they feel towards the other person. Another interpretation could be that the song is about seeking release from one's own emotional struggles and turning to someone else for help.
